I'd love to go with them if I could, but it may not be possible. Just want to put some feelers out and see what the wise sages of VJ think.

Young babies are like potted plants they travel easier than when older. If you nurse or a soother/binky what ever you want to call it to help with the ears popping it is much easier.

Okay....work became crazy, life became crazy, I started this crazy “budget” thing where I worked until I kill myself, lost my password to VJ, didn’t have free time (AT ALL)  My dogs are itchy. I think I have pneumonia. And Mr Wonderful has a cold (which is OBVIOUSLY much worse than what I have). 
 

But....geez Louise.....I have missed you guys.

The answer is:  Many, si RR ma'am.

As Ontarklar says, it's a lot easier to travel with them in a carrier than when they're ambulatory, si RR ma'am.

However, we would NEVER let an infant go overseas without its mommy, no RR ma'am.

We are going straight from the POTS office to a furniture store (and retail, no less) to meet Mrs. T-B. to satisfy her insane obsession with getting new bedroom furniture and at full retail price, oh bind and gag us and tie concrete around us and drop us into the piranha-filled Amazon or some other river man.

I was expecting the delivery of a quite large and heavy box tomorrow. The UPS guy is pretty good to get stuff into the house.

 

We left at noon to take the car in for service, yikes that was a spendy trip, and when we got home the huge box was leaning up against the porch wall. 225 lbs it weighs, and  yes I did get in inside, in pieces. Some assembly required. Tomorrow is another day.

Way back when I was at my first place in San Diego (it's less plausible to me that that was almost twenty years ago than that I've been married almost a year), I bought a desk that I'd need to assemble myself. Guy from the store got it out to my car, but there was no way I could carry the box up to the third floor (no elevator there) myself. So I ended up taking it up in pieces (and leaving some parts I had no intention of using in the trash). Finally got rid of that desk last summer when updating the 2nd bedroom outfitted as my home office to be a functional guest room (new one being somewhat narrower).

Similar thing. My NZ flatmate bought herself a desk, and we went to uplift it. Huge box, she swore she could see my car shrinking the closer we got to it. The chap himself with the box on a dolly thought there was no way to get it  in the car either. Oh ye of little faith. Right there in the parking lot I opened the box and indeed was able to get it all in. And that left him with the box and wrapping to look after. She still had it right up until she died last year. Her Nephew has it now.

I was driving a Toyota Echo, I think they call it a Yarris here. Amazing what you could fit in the boot of that thing.
