Rain, all it's done for days here is rain, and it seems its meant to rain for the foreseeable.  It isn't terribly cold, just wet and bleak. I am hibernating until this nonsense is over.

I'm doing this today.

Yesterday we had homeschool at the library so had to go take the kids.

Not a nice day here either. Dripping wet. I will have to go and  face the shops tomorow, and it is meant to clear off later today, so I hope the forecast is right. It is either foggy outside, or the clouds are very low.

Today is my youngest sons 42nd birthday.  Heavens, I know the math is right, but how on earth is he that old?!? :D

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

Its snowing yet again here. I'm so over snow. After the first big snow of the season it loses its novelty.

Ugh I know the rain needs to stop. My backyard is flooded and the chickens are drenched.

Happy birthday to your son. I don't know either how it happens I was just thinking that myself.

Boy #2 is getting married this year and boy #1 I have no idea when they will set the date or if they will or have kids. At least #2 will have kids.

The Jedi is the youngest and will be 6 on March 1st. they just wont stop.

Poor chickens. Herself has taken to balking at the door. Nope Nope Nope. I know I gotta go, but there is water out there!

Son number one turns 47 this August, on my birthday. He and his partner are both docs and married to their work, no kids for them. Son number 2 has a husband, so all of my grandchildren will be cats it seems.

Himself has an adopted daughter, but her Mum departed the scene the day of his cancer dx, so he didn't see her for many many years. When they finally met up again, they just couldn't pick up the pieces, so they are out of touch. If I'm honest it's just as well, she is very like her Mum he says.  She turns up from time to time in email, usually wanting money, but as he can't read anymore I deal with her. The Bank of Daddy is closed.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

My mini doxy won't go out in the either. The lab I won't let out and he comes back muddy and wet to share with everybody

Oh bummer on the gran babies, grand kitties are fun too but not the same. Although much less demanding :) At least they are doing what they love so it's all good.

Oh that is terrible. I can see it being hard to reconnect after years apart and no telling what her mother told her. I hope one day she sees her father for more than a bank. At least you were able to shut it down. My sisters drained my parents and now they have nothing to help them through their retirement.

Herself is a Yorkie, with a longish blue/grey/blond coat, and she is close to the ground. Her coat seems to act as a wick, and she comes in soaking wet, which she hates, and needs drying off, which she also hates. She will drop her can close to the door in wet weather, one foot on the path, it is sorry of funny in a tragic sort of way.  Water! Fatal! Ack!

When I first came to the USA, we stayed with her, and her charming boyfriend. I can't say I was impressed in the least. I am not sure what her Mum told her, but I can be fairly certain it was not complimentary. And always needing money, and thinking Daddy was the go to guy.  Daddy was under new management however, which went down as well as a cup of cold sick.

Himself has taken it into his head he wants to go to Pennsic this year, or next. He went every year for 25 years, until life overtook. I am apparently unwittingly married to a Baron in the Kingdom of Atlantia. Who knew.  I am trying to work out how he expects to camp out in a tent for 3 weeks, without electricity, with all his gear and his meds which can't be exposed to heat. He still has most of his garb, and armor, but seriously I think it may be behind him.  Three weeks camped in the middle ages, my goodness, I can hardly wait. Not.

She's like a mop, poor thing. Oliver is practically naked, he has fur on the top and side but his belly is pretty bare. Not sure why but he's always been like that. So cold wet bare belly in the rain is not happening. I just let him out as it has stopped raining. He still didn't stay out long. Jack our lab is having a hay day with the puddles and go figure I just washed the floors yesterday before the rain hit. looks like I'll be doing them all week.

OMG how does he expect to pull off a camping trip? He needs a at the very least a camper and electricity. I told the Hillbilly my days of sleeping on the ground are over. I want a camper and a/c  here, the kids have asked a few times. I let them put out a tent in the backyard. The Hillbilly also needs to have his cpap machine too.

There you are! I mean my idea of camping these days is five star all the way.  He'd wilt in an hour these days under those conditions. Yes there was a time, but I think that's long gone. Where, I asked him, are you planning on plugging in your O2 concentrator?

So now, he's negotiating with me on staying in a nearby hotel. Still got to get to PA, still have to board the dog (which she hates) still have to pay the admission for three weeks as there are no single day passes.  He's mad. Man, the logistics for this are insane.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.
