Winter has finally come in up here after a ridiculously warm winter. Temps in the 30s? Unheard of.  Low of -22°F, that is more like it.

I see that the East coast is about to be walloped. It's not so cold here today, but that wind! Sheesh. We had a few flakes of snow a while ago, but all I have now is brown. Brown grass, brown trees, grey skies. The weather radio went off yesterday with a tornado warning, but for well north of here. Himself programmed the darn thing, with a great deal of muttering and Very Bad Words, and I am going to have to work out how to make it a bit more specific to where I actually am. Drives  Herself round the twist when it goes off.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

Took Mini-B. for visit with Mama T-B., doting grandma senior she man.

Accomplished all Sunday chores, too many man.

Chief among these was subduing Many (2+1) laundry loads, "heavy" week man.

 

Turned over Mini-B. to Ex-Mrs.-T-B. for the week, sigh man.

Shared high-velocity tummy-bumps with Mini-B. upon parting, Two Guys man.

 

Repeated the Two Guys' Mantra in unison, we and wee man:

   We're two guys, si man!

   We eat WHAT we want, WHEN we want, si man!

   We fart WHEREVER we want, WHENEVER we want, si man!

   We leave the toilet seat UP, si man!

   And no girl can tell us what to do -- not even Mommy, no man!

 

Currently snacking on extra-crunchy peanut butter straight from the jar with use of a spatula, ingest we man.

Mini-Dave's passport arrived yesterday. Applied on New Year's Eve; was supposed to take 10-12 weeks; actually took 5. Government working faster than estimated, seems crazy, man.

So he's stuck with a (very cute) picture of him at 9 months old for the next five years ... 🤣

 

Not getting a visa for Russia any time soon, though. I guess that's fine; we're not going to Russia before we get covid vaccines anyway, but hoping to make it by the end of summer. PRG hasn't seen her family in-person since she came here, and that will be two years next month (time files, man).

I've just been looking at Canada's new covid restrictions. Flights only entering at four locations, one of which is fine as it is my destination. Negative test before the flight, test at the airport again on arrival, three days wait at my expense for results, further 14 day self isolation. Only then do I get to be let loose on the population. Probably the same on the way back here. I don't have anyone here, I further don't know anyone here. This summer makes five years since I've seen family, and it looks to longer than that before I do.
