We are back from S. Texas/Mexico, semiannual visit successfully made man.

Didn't think that we'd get in 2 visits this year, weird year man.

Interesting weather, see man:  short sleeves/pants but no need for a sweatband, zero used man.

 

Longest that we've ever left New Miu alone in the casa, didn't know what we'd return to man.

Would miu be a wildmiu or a patient casa-miu, wild or casa man?

Miu was sitting in windowsill when we drove up, miu jumped off man.

Miu greeted us and wanted soft food, lobby miu we man.

Not too much torn up in casa, not visible anyway man.

We must brush miu for first time in Many (2+1) nights, half of miu to come out in brush man.

 

We are tired, tired we man.

That sounds about right. First we want to them to get older so we can stop worrying about them. Then we find new things to worry about.

Seems about right (mini-Dave is now 8 months old, crawls everywhere and will try to eat anything he can pick up including PRG's shoes. Have done a lot of baby-resisting -- baby-proofing seems a logical impossibility -- of the condo over the last month or two).

Idea of a kid who can walk, talk, use the bathroom, and doesn't think yogurt is finger food sounds great. 🤣 🤣 🤣

At the risk of tempting the s&#t gods, I hope you are right!  Oh dear, lol, I am holding off until tomorrow. I have nearly half a dozen bottles of Guinness in the fridge. And an NZ red wine. And the best part of a bottle of Port. I suppose I may come over all weak and dizzy, but there you have it. Happy Christmas :D

Overslept nap, over-zzz we man.

Helped some but not enough, sleep-deficit we man.

 

This morn, Miu lay on our stomach as we awoke, stomach-miu'd we man.

This afternoon, Miu sat on our lap for approximately Many minutes, rare for miu man.

Now, Miu is lying with head partially on keyboard, swatting at our keystrokes, needy miu man.

We conclude that someone missed Daddy for the time we were gone, appreciative miu man.

 

Had din-din at Ex-Mrs.-T-B.'s, invited we man.

Mini-B. all over us, happy to see we wee man.

Overindulged on popcorn while watching "It's a Wonderful Life," both a tradition man.

Made it back to casa in time to see late TV weather report, perfect timing man.

 

Presents arranged downstairs for Mini-B., hope he enjoys them man.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Merry Christmas ya'll.

We gave the dogs "Christmas Bones" (cow bones) and now the sound of them chewing and bones breaking are echoing through the house.....while we watch "Aliens". Ahhhh....traditions....😊
