While emptying MIL's house of the 4800lbs of junk we discovered that she has the ashes of everyone (people and dogs and she hated dogs) that has died in the last 20 years, we decided that since she was so attached to all these ashes we will put them in the casket with her 😁

No wonder she was terrible.  She was being haunted.

Oh well done! That is a prefect solution!  😁

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

The crazy was apparently shared among her sisters too.

MIL recorded herself singing and wanted it played at her funeral, she was egotistical enough to assume her children would follow her plans.

They laughed and said heck no. Her sister has been running down phone numbers for everyone in the church trying to make sure that it's played - her sister has now been told not to come and if she does the sheriff will be called to remove her.

*Sigh*

24hrs and it'll all be over

Dare I ask? What was she singing? My MIL had her obit already written ages ago. It would take up an entire page of the newspaper. IF they use it ;)

Not a clue, it was on an old mini DV tape, it went in the dumpster

She'd hate her obituary, nothing about how amazing she was, just name, dates and survived by.

You spared your hearing most likely.  My MIL lists her entire life in hers, I don't know who she thinks is going to pay for it. And entire page! Her daughter is far to cheap to cough up for that, Mind you, she is 90 now and still among us.

I hope you get through the next 24 hours with the least bit of wear and tear possible. Are you heading home right after that?

They're really crazy aren't they!

Thanks

We've got to wait for the closing on the house which has been delayed due to this but we'll be heading home ASAP.

My kids have been brats today. Had to take them to get their eyes checked. Waiting was killing them, but the exam wasn't too bad.

I tried to wait as long as I could. I should have just did it back in September.

Anyways, after they had to touch everything and had to be picky as all heck, they found what they liked. Only to find out after we get the sizing and pricing done to find out they are not in network. I didn't think to ask since the eye doctor was in Network.

Go home and the Hillbilly looks up who is now in network.

Run to Little Rock, I hate that place.

Get in the mall since that is where they are located. Already dreading the prices because you know it's the mall.

Finally get one kid to agree on glasses $107 buck just for the frames. I let the Hillbilly figure out what the insurance covers and what we owe, while the Tornado looks around.

She wants to look at the ladies glasses. Tries to pick out ones that are way too big because of the colour only.

Drag her butt back to the kids glasses and ask the Hillbilly what the verdict was.

Turns out the glasses here are twice the price we would have to pay without insurance at the other place.

If I want to upgrade my vision insurance from work to cover glasses and not just eye exams, I have to pay for me, PRG (who only needs glasses to drive, got a pair just before leaving Russia, and doesn't have a license yet), and mini-Dave (who is less than a year old; since he's my kid, he'll probably need glasses eventually, but not in 2021), not just me (not sure why it's that way for vision, but not any other coverage I get through work, but it is).

The upgrade price if it was just me would be just barely worth it. Paying the family rates to just cover my glasses... not so much.

Will be trying buying glasses online or hitting up my sister (not the doctor, the other one) for Lenscrafters coupons.:bonk:

For Tuesday din-din, we fed ourself & Mini-B. bagged salad, canned baked beans, and canned chunk-chicken breast, balanced and filling ingest we and wee man.

The salad was dressed with Ranch packets previously filched or left over from a restaurant, no naked salad here man.

We Two Guys were quite filled and satisfied for a total cost of 2 cents under $2-&-a-half for the entire repast, dig that man.

Took 2 boxes of purged books to Half Price Books for selling, always look for profit we man.

Usual picky guy wasn't there, no man.

Pleasant younger guy said, "We'll take them all if they're resellable, si man."

Indeed, guy took all but Many (2+1) books, 2 of which went into our recycle trash man.

We got only $Many. Many ($[2x2x2-1].[2x2x2x2+2+2+2]) for all the others, oh well man.

Probably came to half-of-half a buck or less per book, pittance man.

At least they're out of the casa and we got a token sum for them, pocket money man.

If only they ran their business like we run our Pre-Owned Toilet Seat empire, buy your POTS today man.
