05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Thrilling Monday report, see man:

 

Nuked some corn dogs for Mini-B.'s breakfast, Two Guys Deciding What To Ingest man.

Fancy party-plate caught fire in the microwave, douse flames pronto we man.

 

Daily health-screen wouldn't come through on our new phone, gremlins man.

Hastily had Ex-Mrs.-T-B. e-mail it to Mini-B.'s phone so he could go to skool, bureaucracy man.

Caucused with provider's Tech Support to out-straighten this, all now well man.

 

Retrieved Mini-B. and little skool-amigo for 2 hours of mayhem, motivated wee men.

Have not recently witnessed such destructive devastation, not witness we man.

 

Tried to blow EELs* off driveway during variable winds, ouch man.

       *Everybody Else's Leaves

 

For din-din, created chickenburgers from frozen patties, heartily approving wee man.

Mini-B. requested lettuce & tomato, Real Men Eat Few-to-No Vegetables man.

Appropriated some lettuce from a bagged salad, resourceful we satisfied wee man.

Ingested Many (2+2+1) chickenburgers between us, Two Guys Eating What We Want man.

Fielded lengthy call from Ex-Mrs.-T-B., see below man.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

Ex-Mrs.-T-B. phoned as we were trying to get Mini-B. into the shower, Use Your Head she man.

 

Worthless tenant in the rental casa called her Many (2+1) times about no heat, pester she he man.

Ecu handyman made Many (2+1) long trips to r-casa, travel Ecu h'man man.

Full inspections of entire heating-system yielded one conclusion, see next line man.

Thermostat was programmed to change temps at various times, that was the reason man.

Ex-Mrs.-T-B. beefed/moaned/beetched to us about clown tenant, beef moan beetch she man.

Clown still not paying full rent on time, either, delinquent he man.

 

She got Many (2+1) independent opinions that it wasn't worth trying to out-kick clown, no man.

Lease expires March Many'st, too soon for that man.

 

We were a soft touch, not she man.

She wants interest on delinquent rent plus fees for repair visits, clown reimburse she man.

She plans to sic an abogado (lawyer) on him, know many she man.

We told her "good luck, man," know clown already we man.

She already fretting that he won't pay last months' rent, use up security deposit instead man.

We said, "You wanted to be a free, independent chica, and now you are, man," so there man.

We tried not to burst out laughing during call and did laugh after up-hanging, hee hee HEE man.

So glad that we gave up that albatross of an r-casa (at her request), sometimes life's a little fair man.
