OMG. How in the heck did you manage to keep under control given THAT?

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

Still around, just doing the same old. Still painting, will it ever end. Still unloading stuff, I am off to Joplin Wednesday with 8 cartons of books I've no use for. I do not read fiction, and in particular I do not read science fiction.  It's not that far from me, and I hope I've picked a reasonable weather day. Still trying to decide whether or not to leave Herself home alone which she hates, or take her to boarding which she hates equally.                                                                                                                                                          We had a heck of a storm here on Saturday night, brought some limbs down off the trees, and loosened a section of my new siding, dagnabit. I am having a crack tomorrow on putting it back in place. The siding company are happy to do it, but it is going to cost me many pounds ten for them to come up here from Conway. Apparently my lifetime guarantee does not cover Acts of you know who.

I have had a message sent to me on behalf of the MIL. Apparently she feels sorry for me, all alone in the country for the holidays *sob*, with the borders all closed to anywhere she thinks I'd rather be, so I ought to go to VA and spend it with them. You know, it is actually possible to eject coffee through your nose all over the monitor. And in the event that there was ever any doubt, that's a hard no from me.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

It never ends does it!

Sorry about the siding.

I think it is funny that she would even think you would want to be with them. She is definitely off her rocker thinking you would want to be in the same room with them. Probably thinks you are so desperate that they can suck you in then grill you for stuff they want.

I was doing about 75 with 2 passengers. I said to them "you guys hear that rumbling?" Then about 5 seconds later, "boom!" Front left tire. The roadway was straight and level. The car stayed rock steady.

So the blowout caused the caliper to become dislocated somehow, I only discovered this after I changed the tire.

I was on the NY state thruway. Only 1 company was authorized to tow. So my car ended up in their shop.

Very unprofessional/ nonchalant business.

Didn't even look at my car as of yesterday.  So yesterday afternoon, I ended up having it towed to a mom and pop shop half mile away.

You ever meet a business owner that you sense their sincere will to help others?

This woman gives me that feeling. So the car is in good hands.

I had to cut up this fallen tree that landed right at the ATV crossing in the back of the property. The property goes another 500 feet in the other side, it's a long haul if we have to drag out game by sled...

Yikes. I think it's amazing the outcome wasn't worse. I did not know there were rules about who could tow! I suppose they are not all that interested, if they they are the only ones allowed to tow from that highway they will always be in business. Hope the other shop treats you better.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.
