Half-of-half an hour before planned end of siesta, Mrs. T-B. phones, intrusive she man.

She wanted to pick up more of her clothes et al., retrieve in stages she man.

Mrs. T-B. arrived half-of-half an hour later than promised, cheated us of zzzs she man.

Waltzed in rather breezily/haughtily, making beeline to collect stuff, beelining she man.

Announced that she wanted Mini-B. for Xmas as well as Thanksgiving, violate orders she man.

I've been absent for a while but gather that you and Mrs T-B have separated. It must be a difficult time for you and I hope Mini T-B is coping as well as can be expected.

From (bitter) personal experience I suggest that you re-draw boundaries ASAP, which will lead to better mental wellbeing in the future and more cordial relations for co-parenting. It takes time to untangle what has taken years to enmesh. After my major relationship breakdown (pre-LDR and current spouse) I found that all the problems that were in the relationship continued because my sense of self had been eroded over years of parenting and necessary compromise, and I continued to allow myself to be taken for granted, pick up the pieces, etc. What I found helpful was to draw up an inventory of what I wanted for myself, which didn't include being taken for granted or picking up the pieces every time ex-Mr-Fip stuffed up. This inventory included being valued and appreciated, and then I put boundaries in place to ensure that is what I got. Ex-Mr-Fip railed against this new arrangement, because of course it didn't suit him, but it made room for me to be ok for myself and for my children. A couple of months after Ex-Mr-Fip had left the family home he still had not collected all his belongings and was using my home as free storage and using me as arrranger of everything that he found tedious (continuation of previous problems in the relationship), inspite of, or possibly in-spite of my courteous requests for a clean break. I packed up all his belongings and messaged him asking to agree to a date that he would be able to collect them (taking back control is an important part of setting boundaries). I did not engage in any kind of emotional texting/phone calls/emails and gave him the impression that from now on it was strictly business between us, and that business was being parents to our children. This may seem harsh when you have shared so much of your life together but I had learned from others' mistakes during the crucial separation stage, and that how it is handled can have repercussions for many years. You are not obligated to answer your phone, or allow Mrs T-B access to your house, or give any explanation why, if it does not suit you. She can wait until a mutually agreed time, unless the matter is Mini T-B and there is an emergency.

As for holidays and sharing Mini T-B, it is only fair that turns are taken and that his wishes are also taken in to consideration. Try to make this agreement now and appeal to her sense of fairness. If you end up divorcing there will inevitably be mediation to come to an agreement on parenting Mini T-B. My final piece of advice is to communicate all arrangements for Mini T-B in writing. Keep these communications child-focused. If there is a custody dispute in the future this can then be used as evidence of willingness to co-parent. All other communications should be minimal as you all recalibrate to the new circumstances. Mini T-B will learn the new rules for each household and his own way to navigate the situation. Each parent has their own way of parenting, just as when you were together. Unless you are concerned about Mini T-B's welfare then let Mrs T-B do things her way at her home and you will expect the same when Mini T-B is with you. Generally parents want the same things for their children, however they may go about achieving that - health, happiness, and a good education. Don't sweat the small stuff.

This is a grieving process for everyone. If Mini T-B is still struggling in a couple of months then you could try to find a suitable therapist for him (worked very well for my son). It does get better. Wishing you and Mini T-B the best.

Omg how scary. I had the kids with me once when the tie rod snapped on my car. Luckily it happened before I hit the highway. So I can totally related to the fear.
