Mini-B. wanted din-din, hungry wee man.

Up solely to Us Two Guys to determine menu, Mrs. T-B. out yakking with friend or client man.

 

E pluribus unum option, decisions made man.

We had a pack of hot dogs (and pack of buns) just bought from Aldi Foods, si man.

 

When Mrs. T-B. returned, she asked what we'd had for din-din, inquire she man.

We said, "We had Many (2+2) hot dogs, si man..." began we man.

"Good," said Mrs. T-B., surprisingly accommodating she man.

"Each!" exclaimed we man.

Mrs. T-B. went aysheep, Chicas Will Never Understand Bachelor Din-Dins man.

 

We are proud of ourself for achieving a filling, balanced* Din-Din For Two for a total of $1 + Many cents ($1 + [2x2x2x2x2 + 2x2x2 + 2x2] cents), probably all-time deal man.

Thrilling Sunday report, see man:

 

Today was supposed to be "light" laundry day, minimum Many (2+1) loads man.

However, Mrs. T-B. fouled a record number of clothes in one week, never seen anything like it we man.

It necessitated bifurcation if not even Manyfurcation, that much man.

Through our natural ingenuity and practiced acumen as an expert Laundress, we kept today's loads to the minimal Many (2+1), rightfully boastful we man.

Still mowing, been out there two evenings already and only half done. Mind, the first night was a short one, seems I only charged one battery, and flat ones get you nowhere. We had about a week of rain, and then a couple of days the sun actually shone, but it is still wet and heavy going. It got away from me for sure.

So it dawned on me this morning, thinking about  having to go out there again this evening, and about how long it is, and how hard it is to push that blessed mower. When, exactly, did Himself last sharpen that blade? Sometime last year, that's when. About this time last year most likely. I have seen him do it once or twice, but it is the sort of thing I never really paid a lot of attention to. Mores the pity.

So I get a bunch of suitable appearing tools and give it a go. I got the thing apart, got it sharpened, but the worst part was getting it back on. No co-operation at all. Only took an hour and a half.

If I am still here next year, I'm hiring someone.

The kitties were under the car on Thursday night. I put my security camera under there so I could see if they got out. They did. They spent the night meowing and running around under there. They left early Friday morning. I checked the car out well, including under the bonnet with a torch, but no kitties in the engine compartment. I went into town and back, no kitties. Mum came around Friday night for a drink, and she has been back a few times, but no kitties so far.

 

I found a cat rescue 20 miles from here, who get them spayed and then find them homes. They will come out here and set a humane trap and take them away. At which point, no kitties.  When I see them again, I am to call them and they will come out and nab the little ninjas. Then we can try and catch the Mum.

 

I noticed that she goes up the hill and into a field when she leaves here. I took a long walk around up there this morning before it got too hot, but if they are there, they are well hidden. I hope to get them looked after before the cold weather hits, poor little things.

My neighbor's old car died, she approaches me to see if I wanted to sell the CRV. I said ok, I clean the thing up, get it detailed for her. Sold it to her dirt cheap with a clear conscience. She got a great car for cheap. 

All of a sudden, 3 of my wife's friends and my other neighbor, "oh why didn't you sell it to me??"

First of all, I did offer it to one of my wife's friends. She didn't jump on it. How do you not jump on a 27,000 mile Honda AWD in great shape for 6 grand? The thing's like new.

So I'm cleaning out the crv, then Super hot single milfy who happens to be a psychologist, calls me up in tears with her saga. 

At the same time, another neighbor's son with selective mutism calls me up, he's refusing to go into his school.

Man being retired is tiring...

The Tornado's little friend has selective mutism. They talk on messenger kids all the time. They went to NYC a few times for therapy and has made some huge progress. But she will only speak to the kids unless she is ready to BE BRAVE and then she only asks one short question that has been practiced over and over with her mum. But with my kids she can talk and talk like she does with her own parents. We set up messenger kids because of covid just to yak to her. WE miss our library time but at least they get to talk and see their friend with FB. 

 

I cannot blame your neighbours son for not wanting to go back into school. His anxiety must be through the roof.

Yeah selective mutism is tough. 

His father was busy at work, they couldn't get a hold of him. So she called me. I bribed him with McDonald's. It worked! 

So, when he came home from school, I had a double quarter pounder meal waiting for him. 

I gotta help my friend's son...
