So far the rain is here and that is all but everything has been shut down. We will still be getting hit pretty hard. Hoping we don't lose power as they they already said it will not be back on fast.

I think I am too far north to see much. I hope the power stays on, I see a lot of Entergy customers are already in the dark. What do you do about the chickens?

They do not get to free range here in the city. They have a secured run that is also covered so they will probably not go out to the playground much today. Some like the rain and will go out while it is lighter others will stay in the covered run.

They are soaked to the bone. Darn chickens have plenty of space to stay dry. 

 

Still pouring like cats and dogs. Lost the internet for a bit, power flickered but so far that is all. I'm expecting my back yard to be flooded in the morning when I go let the chickens out. 

 

Puppy would not go outside at all today. I had to put the leash on her take her out (several times most failed) with an umbrella and stand there until she finally peed. Had to repeat it again after supper. I swear dachshunds are the worse for house breaking. Sadly because she wouldn't do her job outside she spent most of the day in her crate. As soon as she was let out she would dart for a hiding spot to potty. Ya that wasn't going to happen. She's not my first doxy and wasn't going to fool me lol. 

 

My lab has no issues, he even went outside on chicken patrol as older daughter was putting them to bed tonight. He guards the girls and makes sure she is safe in the dark. He's a great dog, but came back a soggy dog lol. 

 

Ok off to bed. I'll be up way too early to let the chickens back out.

By the way, the poultry-processing industry in Poland consists of workers gluing the heads back onto decapitated chickens, oj tak.  Asia can provide more details, oj tak.

It's a good thing I have a good supply of eggs. I went through 3 dozen today just for supper. 

 

Uovo in Raviolo(runny egg yolk in Ravioli). With brown butter sauce. All homemade and was a big success.

THE PANHANDLING STRATEGY

 

Kacper and Narcyz were panhandlers who panhandled in different areas of town.  Narcyz panhandled just as long as Kacper but collected only $2 to $Many ($2+1) every day.  Conversely, Kacper brought home a suitcase FULL of $Many ($2x2x2+2) bills every day, drove a Mercedes, lived in a mortgage-free house, and had a lot of spending money.

 

One day, Narcyz asked Kacper, "I work just as long and hard as you do.  How do you bring home a suitcase full of $Many ($2x2x2+2) bills every day?"

 

"Look at your sign -- what does it say?" replied Kacper.

 

Narcyz said, "It says, 'I have no work and a wife and Many (2+2+2) kids to support.'"

 

Kacper said, "No wonder you get only $2 or $Many ($2+1)."

 

Narcyz asked, "So what does your sign say, then?"

 

Kacper showed Narcyz his sign, which said, "I only need another $Many ($2x2x2+2) to move back to Poland, oj tak!"
