I have an unusual problem with the VA. They keep sending me money. I keep sending it back. Himself was service connected only a few days before he died. I don't know he actually understood it, a pity, because he fought long and hard to gain it. 

 

So they had to back pay him for years and years, and they did. And they did again a couple more times. And I returned it to them, as it was as they like to describe things, a clear and unmistakable error.   It was back in the bank again yesterday.

I've rung them. I've sent them paperwork. Our representative  has sent them paperwork, and he has rung them. And yet somehow it's back. The reps advice is fine. Let it sit there. Some day, someone somewhere is going to figure out their mistake. And there is a paper trail that shows I did try to do the right thing. More than once.

 

I have finally found a local contractor with great reviews who actually returns calls when you leave messages. I am up to 7 companies now trying to get some stuff done before winter.  I don't know how some people stay in business.  So that's looked after. 

 

The local county fair people have sent out a glossy half-inch thick magazine, extolling the many delights to be found this year at the local fairgrounds. There's a Miss Wee Fair Princess, if you are under one year old, and a Senior Fair Queen to vie for if you are over sixty-five. Cattle shows, hog shows (it is AR) dog shows. Handcraft exhibits and contests.  And stamped across every page is the following caution: "Due to COVID-19 Pandemic this event will not be held. See you in 2021!"

So why spend the money to send the silly thing out!?

 

My plans are off entirely to go anywhere this year. They keep extending border closures, and I can't be making plans I will have to cancel. Next year in Jerusalem.

Huh ? You could be here in the 94 to 100 degree heat, doing the same thing at 100 percent humidity.  50 percent humidity and 82 degrees?  That's maybe October here - certainly November.  

What's up with yer boat, anyways?  

One thing I do at the farm, when I'm ripping through the beds - put up a larger canopy (don't tell yer wife you have it or she'll steal it) and sit it at half mast for a larger shade area on the ground ..  Bonus points for a high speed shop floor fan ... aimed right at yer body.

hahahaha - got lots of other things in Wuhan, equally as bad, but haven't been back to that wonderful city in quite some time.  A decade now ? hmmmm

The marina was sold to a developer for 53 million right before the pandemic. Now it's just rotting away pending lawsuits. 

 

The ole boat is awesome. I saw some deadliest catch on her. But the girls are a handful now. I need the Honda equivalent of boats now. Get on, fish, flush, go home. 

 

The older one...valedictorian. 

I can't move yet, she got into the top rated middle school in NY state.
