So far so good with college related stuffs! Including a roller-skating session Friday night as my 'workout homework assignment'
Helped my friend move house at the weekend, she couldn't afford to hire a removal team so her sister, bro-in-law, their daughter, her husband & myself pitched in & got it all done.

Current emotional state: battling to stay afloat!

Check out these nutters....

....guess what I'm doing on Sunday🤯
(if anyone feels they would like more info on how to support me/sponsor me-although I'm defo not soliciting here-NOTHING TO SEE HERE MODS then you can of course pm me for deets)

My younger sister did that with some of her friends last year. She liked it and my parents got lot of pictures of her looking ridiculous to post all over the internet. I don't think she's doing it this year though.

Beware the dreaded First Manymester, shudder man.

"Aloysius McGillicuddy DA-Man."  Got it, first try, si and whee man!

"Sleep when the baby sleeps," yeah right man.

Big fallacy that we got snookered on, too, live & learn & sigh man.

When Mini-D. sleeps, you & PRG will race around doing all other non-baby stuff, trust us man.

The only two pieces of Baby Advice that we got that were dead-nuts on* were, see man:

*and from the same amigo, too

        1.  Children will change your schedule, si man

        2.  They grow up SO FAST, savor every moment man

Actually, a Many'rd piece of advice came from Mama T-B. herself, see man:

Many.  You have NO IDEA what's coming [financially, medically, stamina, sleep-lack, stress], no man

And, in general, general wisdom man:

Many.  Children make strong marriages stronger but can strain weaker marriages, if for no other reason than you don't sleep for the first Many (2+1) years, truth man

Surely the unparalleledly experienced Ontarklar will weigh in with her sagelike insights, si man.

(Fecund parturient Ontarklar!  Fecund, FECUND parturient PARTURIENT Ontarklar!)

Meanwhile, best wishes to DA man, PRG, and mini-Aloysius McGillicuddy, si man and ma'am and pre-man man.

@DaveAndAnastasiaThe Tornado never slept and I mean never. She screamed bloody murder all day and all night. Doctors kept brushing me off. I ended up taking her to a Chiropractor. He did an adjustment and she slept 2 whole hours straight. Was the best sleep of my life. Turned out she had silent reflux. Where do they come up with these names she was far from silent. Turns out they call it that for when they don't projectile vomit across the room.

My biggest advice is trust mommy instinct they do not lie. I told the doctors the Tornado had reflux and wanted something for it. They got me in asap, but I had to outright tell them or they just kept brushing me off.

1.  Money, $i man (not too late to enter the POTS business, probably man)

2.  More money, $i and $igh man

Many.  A GOOD pediatric clinic, many same- & next-day appointments available man

Many.  A GOOD night clinic, beyond hours of good pediatric clinic mentioned in Many above man

Many.  For boys, Huggies diapers, cheaper than Pampers man

Luvs OK, Costco brand presumably OK, try small samples of cheaper brands without expectation man

Many.  Ask friends who get newspapers to save you the diaper et al. coupons from coupon sections,

adds up to a serious $Many00s in savings over the Many-year ([2+1]-year) diaperhood phase man

Diapers change as fast as you can blink. I tried the cheaper diapers with every kid. Somehow they always disappoint me. First 4 kids Huggies was the way to go. Last two it was pampers.

We have weather, anyone close to NWA heads up. Like they haven't been talking the face off this for days. I have schlepped  in to town to get stuff, and remembered to get gas for the heater, so at least if the ice takes the power down we won't freeze to death the first day.

And I got pulled over by highway patrol. Got me dead to rights as well, doing about 65 right where the limit changes to 40. He looked about 16 (everyone does these days it seems).

So he took the relevant paperwork and went back to his car, and I am sat there with his lights flashing and all the other traffic going around me, like a dope, thinking boy oh boy this is going to be one spendy ticket.

A warning. He gave me a blessed warning. Sheesh.

I've been talking with my friend in NL. She is in Mt Pearl, and they got 70 cms of snow Friday last. The Army is on her street today shoveling people out.  Her front door was filled in right to the top, so she went out of the house through the kitchen window to try and clear it.  Can't complain here.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

Nephew has silent reflux. Had to nurse or bottle sitting up.  Sister a hole from the epidural and had to lay down as much as possible.  Not a good combo with a 4 year old as well.

Kiddo had reflux and projectile vomiting (rather like mom during pregnancy.) Recieving blankets!! Never enough!!! Best thing ever.  You'd never know she had a hard time feeding the little Michelin tire.  Couldnt walk forever she was so chubby. Lawl.

I think nola did cloth diapers.  We did pampers.

Gosh... its been so long.

i think she did too. Cloth is only money saving if you plan on having more kids. If just one it tends to cost way more.

My kids are 42 and 46, so I think any advice I'd give would be hopelessly outdated. I remember a bout of croup and colic at the same time just for good measure with the oldest. Some kind soul lent me a Snugli, I don't know if they still have those, but I popped him in that and carried him everywhere.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.
