Hi, I’m petitioning my fiancé in Dominican Republic, I just fill out the D-160, I paid the fees and schedule the 2 appointments, one for VAC and another for the consular interview!

I just want to be sure if I’m well informed of what to take to the interview!

medical exams (that I guess she can go any time and get them)

affidavit I-134

confirmation of D-160

confirmation of appointment

original birth certificate

police report

passport

and proof of relationship!

that is it right?

I’m asking because in some places doesn’t says anything about getting the medical exams and taking the affidavit papers to the interview.

thanks

If it is not specified in the P3 instructions then you can submit it in the country's native language. I recommend that you do the translation to English and include the below certificate. You can do your own translation or have a company (many can be found on the internet) to translate your document.

CERTIFICATE OF TRANSLATION I, ___________________________, am competent to translate from ________________ into English, and certify that the translation of __________________________________ is true and accurate to the best of my abilities. ______________________________ Signature of Translator

Name of Translator _____________________________ Address of Translator ____________________________ Telephone Number of Translator ____________________________.

Hi! We just had our interview this morning.  FYI, they will give your fiance a piece of paper at the medical exam that says everything she needs to bring to the interview (my lovely fiance didn't tell me this or show me the paper until last night, smh).  Your list is pretty much right.  If you are attending the interview, bring both passports.  You need the appointment confirmation, medical exam results (not opened), DS-160, police certificate from DR and any other countries she has been too, legalized original birth certificate, any marriage and divorce certificates from previous relationships, the i-134 and proof of relationship evidence, also on their list that you didn't list is 2 passport style photos.

However, they didn't ask us for the photos, nor did the ask for the DS-160 confirmation, the i-134, or any of our updated proof of relationship in my case.  Good luck! Feel free to message me if you want any help!
