Can someone please help me and be kind about it. I submitted my i130 Marriage visa back in May. We received our NOA1 in October and it was sent to NVC on 11/5, received on 11/12 - Just today, a CS rep at NVC told me a priority date was incorrect and may have to be sent back to USCIS to be corrected. Can anyone let me know their experience with this?

The received date and the priority date are the same on the I-797 that I received back in October for my NOA1. It was at the Texas service center and I'm a USC. It's a CR1 visa and we'll be using the consulate in Casablanca, Morocco. Not sure if that even matters. I called every week since they rec'd it. Most answers were "It's under administrative processing." Until today, I had a very rude lady just say, "This happens alot. There's a date wrong. and it'll most likely be sent back to be corrected." Trying to ask for more information was like pulling teeth.

I was just hoping someone went through the same thing. I don't mind waiting. I visit my husband alot. I'm definitely appreciative of being able to fly often but I'm trying to get an idea if it's like a decent turn around where it's send back and 4 weeks later USCIS handles it and sends it back to NVC kind of thing. I have a call back in for a 2nd level officer at USCIS - i read somewhere that it may be possible for them to do it before NVC sends it back but who knows...  I appreciate your help. and I will fill it out. I just didn't want too much personal information on here. I was so excited to have received such a early approval. What a joke now lol

Being sent back to the USCIS isnt common but not unusual.

There is no priority date for this category. Well there is no additional wait it is immediate.

There's a chance it won't get sent back to be fixed? I'm just going off what the rep told me at the NVC. I'll try to call again tomorrow. When I call at 7 AM, I Get through within 10 minutes. It's been at the NVC since 11/12 - it's now 12/26 and not even entered into the system. I have no case number yet and am now being advised that there's a date wrong on the application from the USCIS. I'm sure if I call again, I'll get another answer. I just don't get why it's taking so long to get a case number...

If there's something missing from the USCIS they send it back.  Like I said it isnt unusual.

While Boiler is correct that the priority date doesnt matter, it does exist.

So, I just called NVC - 40 minute wait. Surprisingly not terrible considered Mid-day I've waited 2 hours before.

I spoke with a very nice guy who said he used to work in the department that reached out to USCIS when information was needed and they're not sending it back. They routed it to a supervisor who has reached out to USCIS to confirm an approval date.  If that makes sense.. again, who knows. I'll call next week to find out any updates.
