I-751 application questions

1- The filing fee for filing the I-751 is $595 as well as an $85 biometric service fee. Is it 2 separate checks that would need to be sent or can one check totaling $680 be sent?two

2- Can the US citizen spouse write the check or must the applicant's name be on the check?

3- Should all 11 pages of the I-751 pages be mailed even if some parts are not applicable? If so, should the non-applicable pages be left blank or can I write N/A on all them?

4-  When we first started the application process with USCIS and then NVC, the US citizen was the petitioner. For the removal of conditions, as it does not seem clear to me, is the petitioner now the person with the conditional green card or is it still the US citizen spouse?

1.  One check for $680 is fine.

2.  US citizen can write the check.

3.  All pages should be mailed.  "N/A" should be used if boxes are not applicable.

4.  The immigrant (person with Green Card) is the petitioner for the I-751.

One is sufficient.

They don't care where the money comes from.

Mail ALL pages of the application!

The I-130 belongs to the US Citizen.  They are petitioning the government for permission to sponsor an immigrant.

The I-751 belongs to the immigrant.  The immigrant is petitioning to remove conditions from the green card.  I know it's confusing....

Hope this helps!

1. A single check for 680 would work

2. Yes the spouse can write the check, if you have joint account then you ideally should have both the names on the check, if not then write he applicant's name, A number and form number on the check. (My spouse did as we had same account and both names on the check, just wrote the A number and form number and it was cleared)

3. Mail all 11 pages as there is no harm in doing that. We put NA in all the sections which were not applicable. As per some earlier threads it seems some applicants have seen success without NA.

4. This time applicant is the petitioner, there is a separate section for spouse who is the American citizen.

My wife's conditional green card expires on 2/13/2020 and we have not yet mailed the I-751 yet.

Unlike many of you, I don't have lots of documents to send to USCIS.

We filed taxes jointly in 2016, 2017 and 2019. My wife is covered under my health insurance and I have her as beneficiary on 401K and IRA. That's all we will be sending along with a copy of the conditional green card.

What do you think?

Thanks.
