Scheduling interview for K1 visa

Hi,

 

I'm trying to schedule an interview for my fiance & I have my receipt # for the MRV payment she made.  So when I try to schedule it keeps saying "there are currently no appointments available".

Why won't it let me schedule?

Also it has been 24 hrs since she made the payment.

Because there are no open appointments......keep trying at different times during the week.

Ok I'm so confused with how the scheduling works.  Why dont they just schedule it for the next available date

From my experience, they open blocks of appointments......not the whole year at once..when they open a new block, multiple appointments will be available..also, cancelled appointments might come open, so it's important to check frequently.........

 

That's how the consulate (which I have seen) worked.

We need a little housekeeping on your end. Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine their Embassy. The country that should be used is the country where the interview will take place.

 

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

 

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right-hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

 

Once you finish that then return and you will see a flag in your profile. Select it and see what wonderful information will open up for you.

So now I'm trying to check when any open dates are available for the interview and now I get a message "You are approaching the maximum number of times you may view this page.  Please compete your transaction at this time". 

What does that mean & there's no where to click to continue.

That probably means they limited the number of times you can view the page each day.......

Well now the account is frozen for up to 72 hours.  They said due to suspicious activity.

Ok like someone's gonna try to hack in the account to set an appointment for us. 🙄

They really need to update on how they do scheduling.

Oh, man.........you might email the consulate and hope they respond.....I agree that improvements are needed.

I wasn’t allowed to pick a date for mine, the embassy just sent me a date. My embassy only interview once a month for K1 visas, that may be the same with yours?

Oh one interview a month? 

I hope that's not the case with the Embassy in Vietnam.  So far everything has moved along quicker than I had estimated.

If you could find the time to complete your profile I may have some information to share with you but not knowing your embassy now and in the future I or others will find it difficult to render factural information for your embassy as each embassies are different in how the process visas. You were given one such example where Ireland only interview once a month. So....

Your profile should have a flag and your current visa that you are processing. Yours has no flag and "naturalization" is your filed for status. Go back and follow the instructions in highlighted in red to complete your profile update.
