Form N400 account online - Questions

Hello, I am applying for citizenship online.

I have a couple of questions:

1) I read that I will find all the documents USCIS are going to send me under the TAB "Documents" BUT I do not 

see any Document Tab in my account at the moment. Just to be sure: is this because I still didn't submit my application or am I in the wrong place?

 

2) Me and my husband are applying together (we created 2 different accounts) and we would like to be called together to the different appointments (biometrics, interview...etc...). Can we ask this to USCIS? How?

1. You are still applying and will see the Documents tab after you submit. 

2. I've seen couples filing for citizenship together get separate interview dates but it can't hurt to ask USCIS if you and spouse can be interviewed on the same day (may not be the same time).

I've seen couples request the same oath date after both being interviewed---but the biometrics date is done on their timeline.  However, if you both get notification of the biometrics appointment around the same time for different dates, you can always try to do an early walk in together.

Can we send the request through the secure message system (from the accounts) right after we have submitted our application or should we wait to got the receipt from USCIS?

Having the oath together would be something requested during the interview (should both of you be recommended for approval).

Having the interview on the same date would be something one of you would request after the interview letters are sent, in writing to USCIS along with the reason you are rescheduling (they may or may not honour the request).
