What works for someone doesn't necessarily mean that it will work for you. Each person is different, each case is different, each embassy is different. Don't expect the same for you as you see from others.

Ok I understand.. I’m not expecting the same for me as I see from others.  I reviewed many that have gone through or going through the process from the same country. I also talked with a family member who has worked for a US embassy within the last year. I averaged the time frame from all of my research and concluded to the time I gave. Maybe I was being generous but I feel anything over 4 months would be a little to long in my opinion. Yes I don’t have control over this process. Be it that they may be understaffed and over worked. Thanks for your response!

Continue to follow the timeline of those who are adjudicating through Thailand. Select your flag in your profile in the left column and in the top/center you will find links. Choose the "Thailand Visa Timelines" and you will see a spread sheet of activity from others. That's a pretty good judge of how long it will take. From what I have seen it looks like 4-7 months is a pretty good yardstick with most closer to 4 then 7. Best of luck.

Our packet arrived in Texas on the 9th of January and we got the Notice of receipt date on January 13. Exciting!!! How long does it usually take for the next step?

Congratulations. :time:

We need a little housekeeping on your end. Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine their Embassy. The country that should be used is the country where the interview will take place.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right-hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Once you finish that then return and you will see a flag in your profile. Select it and see what wonderful information will open up for you.

Thanks
