A NOA1 & NOA2 refer to a communique that you will receive on a form I-797C known as a Notice of Action. It is the way the government advises you to action they have taken on your file. I have included an example of what one looks like. Also...

We need a little housekeeping on your end. Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine their Embassy. The country that should be used is the country where the interview will take place.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Once you finish that then return and you will see a flag in your profile. Select it and see what wonderful information will open up for you.

Thanks

Congratulations to us for taking this big huge step and being one step closer to having the love of our lives home soon. Wish everyone the best of luck.  :)

Here is another helpful tip.

Here's some tricks to use when answering and wanting to quote someone.

First, when you use the quote button, go into a LONG posts that you are quoting and if there isn't a need to have the entire post, just delete a small portion of it, but leaving enough of the original post so we can understand what you are replying to.

Second, you can use the "@" sign in a blank reply box then begin typing the person's nick to bring up a list with their name and select their name. If it is done right, you should see a blue box around their nick like this @Greenbaum. When you use the @ sign you would use it in a blank reply and not a "+" reply.

Third is just to use the "heart" icon and select "thanks". Don't really need to say thanks in a quote. (using your example, you were making a comment and a thank you so the way you presented yourself is fine.

It can be as simple as you said, a missed ticked box. You'll have a hard copy soon with their normal turnaround time of 2 weeks. This is a hiccup in your journey and the RFE is sent only in cases where the case appears to the IO that you will be approved. Of course, that rests on the information you reply with.
