For the I-134, can personal property value, stocks and bonds value, and real estate be left blank? And do student loans and car loans need to be put under "mortgages and other debts?"

Also, how many years of tax returns do I need? It doesn't specify on the I-134 instructions or on my Canada P3/P4. I only have one year, but I will be using a co-sponsor.

This is what you need. One year is fine for the Tax Transcript

EVIDENCE OF SUPPORT: You must submit any evidence which will show that you and members of your family who will accompany you are not likely to become public charges while in the United States. Visa petitioner (US Citizen) will have to complete form I-134. If the petitioner does not qualify as a sponsor, a Joint-Sponsor should ALSO be presented (any US Citizen living in the US or Legal Permanent Resident), who will also have to complete form I-134. Both, the Sponsor (Petitioner) as well as the Joint-Sponsor, will have to present last year's income tax return transcripts. W2 form and proof of current and sustainable income (e.g letter of employment on letterhead including salary and start date, most recent salary receipts, bank accounts, the value of properties, etc.). You may download the I-134 affidavit at https://www.uscis.gov/i-134 Get the IRS transcript in place of the actual 1040 here: https://www.irs.gov/Individuals/Get-Transcript Use this link to determine the income levels needed https://www.uscis.gov/i-864p.

Same here.. hope to hear from the embassy soon..

Did you or someone else who’s in transit try the DHL tip/hack from the PDF file?

I just tried and got no result, but it's probably still too early, it does say it will take 24h for the system to work.

I got a question to anyone who knows. I am filling out the DS-5540 as a precaution, in case they ask for it. I'm stuck on question 9 about the assets. I own an apartment in Croatia, I know I have to list it here, what I am wondering is what type of asset, as there is a drop down menu to select from (in picture). Is it "Gross Cash Value of Real Estate Holdings"?

I chose to skip those since I can show more than sufficient income. The way I read it, the requirement is to show sufficient resources with the required rigor, but not necessarily a complete inventory. It doesn't say anywhere that everything you have needs to be listed. That would be the case if you ever tried to claim benefits of course.

Hello everyone,

My fiance's appointment at the consulate is tomorrow. We are extremely nervous and we are trying to keep the positive attitude but it is a bit difficult at times.

We are trying to see all outcomes.

Does anyone know or heard of people getting denied at the interview and the reasons?

Thanks for any replies in advance.

I’ve seen couple of threads on this forum where people got denied or just pushed back since they didn’t have all the documentation prepared for the interview. Which means if you guys have all the documents prepared for the interview and communicate well with the officer, there shouldn’t be any issues. There are couple of questions on the PDF file that can be asked during the interview, so maybe just go over them and you can see what to expect  😊

Good Luck

Relax. Being so nervous and hurt your case and that is not a good thing. MOST people pass if they have gotten this far. It's only when you have hidden some information, that they have uncovered, and now it's their opportunity to adjudicate that situation. That could go south real fast. But if you have been truthful throughout the process you can expect a visa. Be confident in your relationship is the best I can advise.

@Greenbaum Hi would you happen to have the P3 for the embassy in France? The NVC ended up sending my fiancé case to Paris instead of Georgetown. So instead of waiting 8 weeks for the case to be sent back to Georgetown he is going to go to Paris for his interview and medical

If the appointment is past your NOA2 expiration date you have to bring a letter requesting an extension from the petitioner on the day of the interview + updated intent to marry from both of you .

Hello,

Soooo... my fiance had the interview this past Friday. This is what happened.

His appointment was at 7:20am. and by 8:00am he was out of the consulate.

Three simple questions:

1) Who's the person sponsoring you?

2) What does the person sponsoring you do for living?

3) Where does the person sponsoring you work?

After that she requested a new document that as of March 3rd they started requesting it is called Public Ministry Public Records (Antecedentes del Ministerio Publico). since we did not have it or were aware of it, the CO a very nice lady told my fiance:

You do qualify for the visa but since you do not have the complete documents I am refusing you. I need for you to send this documents by mail with your passport and we will review your application again.

We sent the document and the passport they were asking this past Friday so we just have to wait and see I guess... Any feedback would be appreciated if anyone encountered something similar???  What are your thoughts ?

Thousands, and I mean hundred of thousands have been put in Administrative Processing or more commonly known as AP. Now there is a new guideline that all visas during AP are listed as refused till you complete the AP/221(g) etc. This is not uncommon.

If you look through out the thread you will see this question asked and answered a million times. You are doing just fine but need a little more patience. Congratulations on passing the interview.
