3 shipments going from Boston to Ukraine, 16 to Philippines, but I can't find mine

Is your embassy Ukraine? if so it would be one of the three going to that location. Otherwise try again tomorrow where other shipments are leaving today per the PDF.

If you find anything not up to date or the information is wrong, please share your findings. Please compare the date of the P3 of mine with the date from your copy, once you receive yours from your embassy. Keep in mind that I try and be factual with my information, but I can't do it on my own and that's where you come in and can give back to the community those who come behind you. Without others ahead of you I would not be able to provide this to you.  I can only share factual information if folks like you continue to be my eyes and ears for your embassy. I wish you much success in your visa journey.

I have different information than this. I have uploaded if you'd like to take a look.

This is done very nicely. I'm going to add it to my library. It is not official but from this member they took the time to create the document to help others. Truly magnificent work.

I am not sure if this would be the right place to ask this questions, but I think we are in the same process so I just need a bit of more clarification, as I really do not know what should I put down on PART 3 question 26a and so on on the Affidavit of Support I-134. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have filed a previous K1 visa but I withdraw the petition when it got to the embassy, not sure If I should put the previous beneficiary and my current beneficiary on that section because on question 38 they ask if I intend or not intend to make specific contributions to the support of the person named in part 2 which is my current fiance.

The example on VisaJourney uses the current benefiary, so that is what I did as well.

I believe you need to list them as you did file a visa petition for the previous fiance with USCIS and yes give an explanation in part 7

Thank you for your accolades, much appreciated. Yes, you list others who you have filed a petition for. Then a short note in Part 7 with and explanation. Doesn't have to be long just an overview of what changed in the relationship that you didn't move forward.

Hey guys. My interview was Feb. 3 & we were given a 221g because we did not bring my fiancé son’s birth certificate even though the child was not included in the petition. The person at the pre-interview told us that they was going to ask for this birth certificate and that we could email it to support-dominicanrepublic@ustraveldocs.com, and  we did the same day of the interview. Its been two weeks and they still haven’t replied to the email and the “case last updated” online changed twice already, does anyone know if emailing missing documents at the Santo Domingo embassy is normal?

When your case is updating then it means that they are "touching" your record to finalize the visa. This is normal. You should see this a few more times till you see issue. No one can tell you when your visa will be issued but it is being touched. This is all normal.

Just about everyone goes through this process.  Based on the discussions I had with the case officer he informed me of the steps to complete the processing of your visa:

  • the first AP is the immigration unit doing the paperwork for approving the visa
  • the first ready is a notice that they are finished and the paperwork is being sent for visa issuance
  • the second AP is the visa issuance people doing their own paperwork
  • the second ready is that the visa has been issued and is currently being processed for delivery

Then the "issue" is posted and the visa has left the BIG house to YOUR house.

Once you get that second ready, it should be sent out within a few days, but the embassy controls how long it takes as there is the possibility there are additional steps prior to issuance.

The K-1 is treated as an immigrant visa as it is processed through each step from submission to the embassy. Once you are approved it reverts to a non-immigrant visa with immigrant intent. This is the only visa that is treated this way. This is normal and nothing to worry about. I've been told if you use your DS-160 confirmation number the search is much faster. Good luck and safe travels.

I have seen on a few Facebook groups that as of today the DS-5540 form is now required for the embassy interview. Can anyone confirm this?

This is still up in the air.

https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/traveladvisories/ea/Information-on-Public-Charge.html#ExternalPopup

Until such time as we know more about this new procedure we can't really say. If you have an upcoming interview I would plan on either one, complete the form and bring to the interview and if asked present it or go to the interview and if asked for it and you have not completed the form then they will issues you a 221(g) for said document. You complete the form and return it to your embassy where the adjudication of your case will pick back up.

I'd recommend seeking out other forums where this is being talked about and not ask here. FB is not a good source of general rules and regulations, especially if it can't be backed up with bonified links to the government directive. Also, asking in a thread like this where others will not have knowledge is also not recommended. Just my teaching moment.
