Hello @Greenbaum. I tried to open a link for updating email from the PDF you posted but it says page not found ( https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-informationresources/ask-nvc.html)

Also, do you have P3 for Indonesia? 😊

And  Thank you for posting the tips and tricks! Super useful!

I had the same issue, took a bit of fiddling and copying the link to get it to work. Try this https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/ask-nvc.html?wcmmode=disabled

It worked for me. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/ask-nvc.html

P3 Letter from Consulate

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1gNE59CSXcFjVhiBa3tLYFclDtj3f0nCp/view?usp=sharing

Starting 1/2019 Indonesia requires the Tax Transcript and not the 1040.

If you find anything not up to date or the information is wrong, please share your findings. Please compare the date of the P3 of mine with the date from your copy, once you receive yours from your embassy. Keep in mind that I try and be factual with my information, but I can't do it on my own and that's where you come in and can give back to the community those who come behind you. Without others ahead of you I would not be able to provide this to you.  I can only share factual information if folks like you continue to be my eyes and ears for your embassy. I wish you much success in your visa journey.

When emailing NVC for hard copy of NVC # what do I put in the request? I read the first post that states to use NVC or USCIS number in the subject line and Petitioners name and date of birth as well as the beneficiary name and date of birth but it doesn't say what to ask NVC exactly in the email. I need this hard copy for my fiancé to do his medical exam on Friday so hoping to get it before then.

You don't have to ask for a hard copy. That is provided automatically. Emailing NVC now is only to receive updates. Ask in the "box" along with the petitioner's and the beneficiary's information to receive updates using the emails that you provide.

It didn't work for you because the address you were using was missing the hyphen between "information and resources".

https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/ask-nvc.html?wcmmode=disabled is the correct link.

Why does the approval notice letter has an expiration date?

Because the embassy wants to keep the line moving. If a bunch of people decided to wait 6 or 9 months to interview then there is a big hole where others could be accommodated and bunch of people that may not get accommodated when they want. It's not about you or when you want to do your interview. It's about the embassy being as efficient as the process can be for your case at all stops on the way.
