I created a PDF to answer the repetitive questions that everyone seems to answer. Look at the PDF first for your answer and if it is not their then ask the question. Find the PDF file on the first page first post,

I did read the PDF... I asked for clarification because the PDF states there will be multiple dates for when the NVC receives your case, assigns a case number, and sends it to the embassy. I was surprised to find everything happening on the same day and wanted to make sure I was reading the message from NVC correctly. Thanks.

Here's the short answer. If your case number is assigned by the Wednesday prior to the next shipping schedule chances resonable good that you'll be on that shipment.

Where that note comes from it gives only one answer. There are not multiple dates etc. that should confuse you. Now I would gladly entertain from you where it can be changed to be a little more clear. Sometimes an author doesn't see the ambiguity or a incoherent statement where others can.

CEAC will give you the most current status. Your is in transit to your embassy.  Try using the DHL hack and see if you can determine when it arrives. That too is in the instructions.

question On DS-160: Application Receipt/Petition Number.  Is it WAC@ or NVC Case #?  Please advise @Greenbaum

Your application receipt/petition number was given to you by the Department of Homeland Security’s United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) after you filed your petition application at a USCIS Service Center. The application receipt/petition number is 13 characters long and the first three characters are letters.

It says it is the petition number that was given by USCIS. That would be the WAC number.

Use the WAC number given by USCIS on your NOA2.

Hello. My case shows as "Ready" at the NVC web site. It changed last night Feb 5th. Can I start filling out DS-160? When is it the right moment to schedule a visa interview date?

Your DS-160 is good for 30 days . So get it done. Pay for Visa fee and you can see what is available for interview

30 days to the interview? I want my interview to be at the end of April. But I want to schedule now. Is it possible?

Greenbaum usually recommends to ask that question in your country sub forum, because every country is different

All visa's are being conducted in Borgata, Columbia till further notice. See discussion here. https://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/696797-caracas-embassy-closed-k1-visa-appoinment-cancelled-by-embassy/

Keep in mind that a forum like this one is for initial bonding with others who are along the same timeline as you for initial processing. The initial application is the same no matter where in the world you are. But, having said that, once you get your approval (NOA2 text message or email), you should also check in with your country's sub-forum to get a better understanding of the process for the Embassy that you will be interviewing with, and to get direct answers from those who have completed the steps you are about to at the US Embassy - Borgata.

Those in this thread, are applying from various Embassies around the world and there are different processes for each. So what works in Russian, Philippines or UAE may not work for those processing through the US Embassy-Caracas. When you are at the VJ sub forum for all things dealing with the US Embassy in Caracas most there will help answer your questions for the processing of your visa using their personal experience.

Lining up the DS-160, completing the medical and having enough time for the results to reach your interview date will produce success. The "SAVED" DS-160 will expire unless you open it and update information and then save again then the clock starts again. No expiration on the completed form DS-160 unless there are changes made or the photo is out of spec.

The DS-160 does not expire but the saved copy will expire after 30 days.
