How do we check it

We are planning on getting married in March and then we can apply for cr1 visa. Before the interview, we would meet up to 3 times and will also be there at the interview. Will that be better?

How do you check the adoption part ?    look it up in immigration

read former posts about adoption and people who thought they could adopt a neice or nephew/  there is a ton of information on the subject

check this site out as it says the following:

Individuals who are not Nigerian citizens are not legally allowed to adopt in Nigeria.  When a married couple is adopting, both must be Nigerian citizens.  Only U.S. citizens who also have Nigerian citizenship are allowed to adopt children in Nigeria.

that is from the US embassy in Nigeria

Thank you so very much for your response. I really do appreciate it. Me and my fiancé have decided to do a court wedding when she comes back on her second trip here which will be automatically be 8 months after meeting. We plan on going to Ghana for our honeymoon and then she can go back and file for a Cr1 visa.

She can file for the CR-1 while you both are living in Nigeria......a year or two living there as a married couple will help counter the age difference.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

We plan on going to Ghana for our honeymoon and then she can go back and file for a Cr1 visa. My fear, hope the age difference wouldn’t still affect us?? We do have pictures and before the interview, she’ll visit again in August and also again to make it 4 times she visited. Will this help us and more better credible than the K1 since we are going to be married here. And for the kids we are trying our best and also thinking of IVF.

Why are you not listening to the same advices you came here for? You're so adamant on doing something on her second visit and everyone is advising against it or she should stay in Nigeria with you for sometime. If everyone here can see your desperation without looking at your file, then imagine what CO who is fully trained will see during your interview if by miraculous way your petition don't get denied first. Please don't adopt any kids, leave innocent kids alone!!! and do your research on ivf because is not cheap and doubt health insurance will pay.

I don't know, but all this sounds like your focus is getting a visa. You seem more focused on that than on whether you are a good match. We have all had relationships. To marry someone based on such limited real time together BECAUSE you love each other, sounds so elementary school-ish to me. Sorry, but that is how it sounds to me. Slow down, have a relationship.

This is exactly what I would expect an IO to see as visa-driven.

Why this for the profile pic?  Often in movies and on TV when they show Hawaii they show this beach/view. So, instead of doing Kauai or some other locale, we decided to do here, so that whenever some show shows Hawaii and this view, we will see where we were married.

Don't lie. It will only make things worse.

Adoption/having a child/etc. is a completely separate issue from you getting a visa.

Words don't convince COs. They want to see evidence - time spent together, financial commingling (this isn't limited to just joint accounts and such that can't be obtained while abroad), etc. Things a normal married couple have and do together...not a letter about how somebody else doesn't think it's fraud, they're a great couple, etc.

OP, in Africa and some other places (not sure where) but 99% of ppl there put a LOT of importance on childbirth within a year or two of marriage. Americans do not think of it as an absolute requirement so soon. Some couples have decided to be childless for at least some years or for the remainder of their marriage. I personally know quite a number of these couples, from 20 year olds and upwards.

So, don't mistake that the US embassy would be impressed at the immediate adoption of a child. It would likely look rushed or desperate for your situation.

Also, please research the cost of caring for a child in US. It's no joke... especially since, if you obtain a visa, she'd be the breadwinner initially.

to add to previous post on adopting in Nigeria from the US embassy Nigerian site

this is what it says on other sites to become a naturalized citizen in Nigeria under the Nigerian nationality law

(ii) Resided in Nigeria continuously for a period of twelve months, and during the period of twenty years immediately preceding that period of twelve months has resided in Nigeria for periods amounting in the aggregate to not less than fifteen years

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nigerian_nationality_law

and this :

the USC

He has shown a clear intention of his desire to be domiciled in Nigeria;

so you and a USC can not adopt as the US embassy Nigeria site said :

Nigerian Citizens:  Nigerian law states that non-Nigerians may not adopt in Nigeria. While the law is sometimes inconsistently applied, the U.S. Consulate strongly advises that non-Nigerian citizens are not eligible to adopt children from Nigeria

Is this adoption due to happen in the US or Nigeria?

nope ,,   they already had the engagement party and were denied the visa

even with all her visits and there were several

Lest we forget  - But she pays taxes and is, hence, entitled to a visa - ON DEMAND.
How dare USCIS deny her and Mikul!

Dont worry about the age plenty of people have age differences. Definitely dont lie. But yes that will be fine I gave 3 trips under my belt too and we got engaged officially after being together 4 months got married 6 months after that and I went back a yr after that waiting in the process not knowing it would take so long. Just get married take pictures show proof and make sure she can financially be approved to bring you and most if all at the interview answer the questions right and honestly.

So you had a 26 year old Nigerian male and 54 year old American female scenario with no probs?
