Good day , Please I like to ask about my case. I got married this year in Feb to my wife in Nigeria. We did tradition, white and court wedding. We started our filing in March. She’s a permanent resident. She’s older than me with just 2yrs. She will be visiting me just one time after marriage. Will the one time visit be a problem for me during interview? We are both from Nigeria.

So this someone you knew before she moved to the US?

You will want more visits prior to the interview.  Nigeria is a hard consulate to pass.  Fortunately you still have more time since she is only a permanent resident.

This fact combined with Nigeria being high-fraud means that you will need evidence of more visits and time together in person, and many documents showing financial co-mingling such as health insurance, dental insurance, beneficiary on life insurance, retirement accounts, joint credit card, will, living will, power of attorney, etc.  The CO will look at the circumstances of her moving to the US and your relationship with a great deal of scrutiny since it appears that she may have had intentions of filing a petition for you all along, if she entered on a K-1 or other visa before getting divorced and becoming an LPR.

Thanks.

She was never married before. She went on H1B and later got her GC through her employer.
