Went from being so happy to being completely upside down.

we found received our approvals for i131, i864, and i765.  we had submitted all of the forms together.

earlier in the week I was sent a notification that my wifes combo card had been sent. this was great because we had book a trip back home for the end of February.

my mail usually arrives at 3:15 to 3:45 every day. on this day I had to pick up my son from school at 3:30, before leaving at 3pm I we checked the mail just to see if any good news had arrived. As I headed to the school I felt a txt message come into my phone once I was parked in the carpool lane waiting for my son I read the text saying that the card had been delivered today two days earlier than expected I thought wow how great. however when I look at the detailed info on the usps site it said the card was delivered at 2:20 pm.   I thought they might not be on exact time or maybe it was the senders timezone.

after getting back home at 4 I hurriedly walked to the mailbox to get the mail and surprise may when I discovered only the normal junk mail.

I thought maybe it was still on the truck and wont make it until later or maybe it will be delivered tomorrow since it is so near Christmas I know they are super busy.

two days after not receiving it I went to my local post office to stand in the long Christmas rush lines and was told to call the local dispatch center as the mail for my location came from a central dispatch area.

I called the the number and talked to the supervisor who was very apologetic and even called the mail delivery carrier who did not know how she could have delivered it to the wrong address...

I have called and opened up an expedited request at uscis to look into it however since my usps status shows delivered I feel like they are not going to be helpful

is there know way to get an expedited replacement card?

One possibility is that one of your neighbhours has it.  If your mailbox is at your house (i.e. not a community mailbox), i.e check with nextdoor and front neighbhours.  If it's a community mailbox, it might be slightly harder.

Do you have informed delivery and saw it in informed delivery?

Please excuse me, and I am not trying to get your hopes up too high. However, with all of the large amount of Christmas mail maybe your letter got sidetracked....hopefully you will have a wonderful Christmas gift in your mail box tomorrow.....🎄🎁

Good luck on your immigration journey, and Happy Holidays !!!

Thank you for the replies,

just to answer a few questions yes I did check with my neighbors, unfortunately none of them saw it... from the time stamp it was likely delivered much further away.  I have not moved since filing petition we have received all other correspondence. And i have had multiple talks with both the mail delivery person and the manager with now luck for (going on two weeks now)

I did open a case with uscis. they requested an expedite which did get a quick email response stating they would expedite an investigation into my missing card (however since it shows delivered on usps I do not think they will do anything. and the person I talked to at uscis didn't seem to know what the process was for getting a new card sent out :(  )

Do you have a direction on your address?  For example they could have delivered it to 1234 Main St NE instead of 1234 Main St SE, or it could be off by one block like 1134 instead of 1234.  This has happened to me multiple times, although luckily not with my wife's green card.  Good luck hope you receive it soon!

i agree, they could have delivered it and were off by 1 number. see addresses similar to your address 1234, check 1284 because an 8 can look like a 3. i dunno if this is how USPS works, but human error is a possibility. no postman will admit to it. but if its been 2 weeks since they initially delivered it, whoever got it probably tossed it in the garbage by now unless they are on vacation.

I would hope so, hmmm now you are making me second guess myself. @Pitaya might be able to confirm this.

I did receive a response via email.

Hopefully I will be able to get in touch with someone in the next few days.

I am glad I made copies of everything before sending so this is fairly easy to reproduce.

Below is the main information from the email..  I will have to call with several questions I have not listed in the documentation

  1. Do I need to pay the total fees for both documents ( that is about $1000 )
  2. Do we need to replay everything (biometrics etc)
  3. does this reset the clock from the start of initial documents
