courtesy letter regarding i-693

I received a courtesy letter from USCIS regarding i-693, and it states that my Form I-485 application is deficient because "all pages of Form I-693 are not present or of the same revision date".

I am pretty sure that the I-693 used has the most current revision date, and the civil surgeon said she is sure all pages of I-693 were submitted. So what does the courtesy letter mean exactly? Moving forward, should I have a new I-693 prepared right now? Or should I wait until my interview is scheduled and then prepare a new I-693? I am afraid that the new I-693 will not be accepted if it is dated more than two more months from the interview. Any insight would be appreciated. Thank you!

Welcome to the forum.

Using the forum Google search function, I was able to find this thread from last year that sounds quite applicable to your present situation, with some good suggestions,

I would make sure that the civil surgeon uses a copy of the newest form available. At the attached link is the most current USCIS Form I-693, https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/i-693.pdf

We need a little housekeeping from you if you will. Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine their Embassy. The country that should be used is the country where the interview will take place.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right-hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Once you finish that then return and you will see a flag in your profile. Select it and see what wonderful information will open up for you.

Thanks and Happy Holidays !!
