I am like Clint Eastwood in the mule. I have no filter any more. I just say what I got to say and be darned any snowflake offended. I said something about a plantation the other day, it was used in a total non racist way. Someone around me said shhh the black guys might hear you.  I looked at them like there are nuts and kept talking.

 

I think Mr. Balz hit on the head the other day. Its usually the ones that have no racist thoughts in their head or think about race that probably are the ones that get in trouble.

The part near the end over "agnostic" is so ****ing relevant, even lefty-catering comics are realizing outrage/cancercancel/woke/SJW culture is societal garbage.

 

You have people wanting to be treated special without doing anything special. People, without even knowing you, are supposed to evidently know what holiday you observe, what you believe, what your invented gender is.. why? It's an impossibility. 

 

But do most of these people know this? I think most do, and realize how impractical it is, but the point isn't rationality, because rationality doesn't result in their way. The point is the end result. They're tired of western norms, and want to take a wrecking ball to it. Either you recognize it for what it is, and approach it accordingly, or you just get trampled by it. I didn't even know Whitney apparently has to answer to a company's HR department. I mistakenly believed comics worked for themselves.

well said  Folks get so wigged over nothing. How dare they say or prayer or wish me a Merry christmas.  If Someone wished me a happy Hanukkah or Ramadan, I would be like.. You to brother. I mean both are warm salutations and you can acknowledge someone else's culture without giving up yours.  The Christian right always attacking gays is along the same lines. everyone just live and let live.

 

To be honest I see more of the cancel culture behavior from the left and minorities .

 

I am that guy at work, who is always trying to help people, offer them food if I have some, offer to go get a car for the ladies if its raining etc.  So one very hot August day I go buy 3 watermelons and chill them. I cut them up and put them on newspaper  on a table and went around telling everyone I had cold melon to go help themselves. One group comprised of a couple of young blacks guys. They were offended I had bought and offered them free watermelon, becuse watermelon is racist. I kid you not true story

Yep, not a Christian, but I say Merry Christmas anyways to be nice, and also in hopes it melts a snowflake. There's no society outside the western world that caters to snowflakes, spend so much pointless time on irrelevant SJW stuff like we do, and it's like hoping for tranquility by punching yourself in the nuts. Seems we're forgetting that, sure, people respect principled leadership, but of equal importance, they respect a backbone.

I am agnostic, well that is the nearest term I can come up with, but Christmas is well Christmas. New Year is New Year.

 

Now Happy Holidays may have have become common in the UK but certainly when I was there it was looked upon as a weird Americanism.

 

I never understood why it was used seemingly for Christmas, 4th July is a Holiday in the US but never heard anybody use the term then. Or for any of the other holidays.
