Age difference

Hi everyone! petitioner( 46yrs  ) is double  age of beneficiary(23yrs ) ! Would it create any problem or scrutiny at time of interview And how can we Minimize it and prove that our relationship is genuine not for immigration intend ?! Even we have joint account , car insurance, health insurance and  saw each other twice since we got married, (1st time )she came  for a week at the time of marriage and second time after marriage she came to see me  for 2 weeks with her family ! , what more evidences we need to collect so can overcome this things and  or we need to make more visits together??  before we get to interview time ! Thanks

More visits help overcome issues like age gaps, different religions, etc.

 

Only 2 visits and getting married on the first trip are not a good starting point.

Is the petitioner of the same ethnic origin and religion as the petitioner? Who is male and who is female? Petitioner or beneficiary?

That is a red flag which you must overcome with lots of in-person visits.  How will you address the issue of having kids?

The fact that she is the older one, "reverse age difference" can be problematic but her family visiting is a plus.  Was this an arranged marriage?  The totality of circumstances is going to be evaluated.  Don't expect them to just pick out the factors you want them to focus on.  Tough case.

Yes, but the issue is whether it is typical in your culture for a 23-year-old male to enter into a marriage from which there will not be children.....

It may well be, but the way it is looked at by the consulate is this:  would the two enter into the relationship with each other in their own country, if there was no green card involved?  For many cultures, such an age difference would not be commonly seen.

They might think but what should we do from now to overcome this ? We still in NVC stage How can we proof that our marriage is genuine there is no immigration intend , Her all family/Friends know about our wedding , my family/ friends, my university they know too ,   Sworn letters (that shows about marriage ) from all those people would be good idea ?

Yes she has kids already, but the issue is you not being able to have kids with her, and will likely come up at the interview

It may be typical or not depends in what kind of society you live ,I live in abroad ,i don’t really care about age neither she ! your partner is pretty & healthy and we love each other ,that all matters , we can’t open our chest to show consulate that look we love each other , Only they want legitimate proofs that our marriage is genuine, So what should we  do from now ?
