Hey guys.

I was recently inform that the Embassy at Georgetown Guyana.

Need the tax transcript and not the tax return 1040 forms.

Why I have concerns is because I uploaded the 1040 forms on ceac. So why wont they accept the 1040 forms at the interview.

Can someone please give me some advice on this.

Thank you

We have a cosponsor.  And hes not all that into tech.

So I dont wanna ask him for his personal information to create the IRS account ..

He can call the 1-800 number and make a request. Do you guys know how long will that take

Why do they want transcripts?  Because too many people committed fraud.  They would fill out and sign tax forms with false information (which they never then submitted to the IRS) to meet income guidelines.  Requiring tax transcripts prove what was actually filed with the IRS, which people are less likely to misrepresent level of income on.

Yes I completely agree with you

You don’t need to be “into tech”. You go online, answer a few questions to verify your identity and can download the transcripts then and there. Anyone who can surf the internet can do this. Probably less hassle than calling even before you take hold times and mailing delays into account. If he calls he should make sure he has all the details they will need to verify his identity beforehand so he’s not scrambling around to get the info they need.

Sounds like the cosponsor will be getting a tax transcript from IRS. Does the primary sponsor also have a tax transcript?
