Hi - I am having some great concerns that our case has been lost in the shuffle..... I can not get a confirmation from Casa that they even have our case, however, when I contact the DOS they state that our case was shipped on May 7th, received by Casa on May 16th and Packet #3 mailed out to my husbands home (correct address confirmed) on May 29th..... well he has not received anything yet.

As I said, I have emailed Casa 2 times now with no response...... anyone in the same boat?

I think I have lost my mind!!!

It's just over a week since it was mailed out. Took my SO about 2 weeks to receive packet 3. I wouldn't stress just yet. Also, if you called DOS, they should have been able to tell you when his interview date is. That was how I originally found out for my SO. We knew before he even got the packet. Don't worry just yet. The mail is not the best over there.

Not that I am counting but tomorrow will be 2 weeks -AARRGGHHH -- I know the mail situation is not the best this is part of my concern!! I did ask the DOS if they had the interview date and what i was told is that my husband would have to fill out the forms and return them and then he would be issued the interview date. I pushed back saying - oh i thought that the interview date was included in the packet 3 as I was told this before. The lady said - No maam - you husband will have to fill out all the forms and return it to the consulate and then the interview date will be given.

I just assumed she was incorrect but who the heck knows maybe the process has changed??

So we continue to sit ...... and wait and wait and ...............

LOL -- trying to keep the spirits up!

I called Casa to get our interview date about a week after I knew that they received our case.

I had to call several times and be very persistent and ask over and over again to speak to someone inside about my case... but it finally worked and I got a very nice woman. I told her I just wanted to make sure that she had received my fiance's petition etc. and she looked it up and they had it and she gave me the interview date.

If you really want to find out then I think you should call, but be prepared to call several times.

Good luck!

I don't think the person you talked to knew what they were talking about. Unless they have changed to procrdure there. They send packet 3, with the interview date. Then he brings all that with him to the interview. There is no packet 4 in Morocco. I would call DOS here again. Chances are you will get someone else who has a clue. I know I called once and the lady I had was rude, clueless and did not want to even check if a new date had been set. I hung up, called right back, got someone else and the answers I was looking for. Call the DOS here again before wasting anymore money to call there.

I am not sure about Morrocco but I know for us here in Canada, the Consulate scheduled Interviews after we send back the checklist included in Packet 3. This is the case with quite a few Embassies and Consulates abroad.

Again Maybe Morrocco does things differently with regards to scheduling interviews when Packet 3 is mailed out?

it is different in morocco. moroccans only get a packet three with the interview date included in that. and are requested to bring that information in with them to the interview.

I called the DOS today, and they let me know my fiance's interview date, and they told me they mailed the packet on June 5th. My fiance's date in June 26, Malarie, yours should be the week before or maybe a couple weeks after (since your case was sent to casa well after our case). When I called I spoke to a nice lady who seemed to know what she was doing.

I called, was on hold for 10-15 minutes. The lady answered, said, "what may I help you with." I said, "I would like some information about my visa case." She asked for his name and the case number, typed it in, and gave me the date for the interview. It sounded very soon so I asked when the packet was sent out, and she said June 5th.

So they can give you the date on the phone. I say just call again and maybe you get a helpful person this time. For best results, make sure you are calling the DOS, not the consulate in Morocco. They really should be able to tell you what the date is.

BT

If I cause offense it is not on purpose, think about that before you take offense. If you feel offended, consider that maybe I'm not talking about you and maybe I accidentally stumbled onto a sore area and do not know. Thank you.
