My wife (American) and I are currently living in Thailand at the moment. She is on a marriage visa here. We recently sent in our I-130 and I-130A and it was received Nov. 4th. It has been over 40 days and we still have not heard anything back. No NOA1, our credit card has not been charged, nothing. The package was received by a man named Thornquist, but we called the USCIS and they don't have anything regarding our file. They just told us to email the lockbox facilities. We've also emailed the lockbox but still have not heard anything back (almost 30 days since we sent the email). We're wondering whether the right move would be to send in another application or if that would slow the process down even more. I know that Thornquist does seem to work for the USCIS (I looked up his name on the forum), but there seems to be no progress.

If you have had something similar happen, I'd also be interested to hear it. My wife is afraid that they'll just ignore us forever :P

Your timeline shows it was sent Nov 4th (not recd that date)

since i have never been able to read the signature of any officer,   could be the signature you see is a customs officer or the ID of the carrier of package

If was was the USCIS lock box,  it has to go to the proper office to be processed
