Family-Based Petitions.

A relative petition may be automatically revoked if the petitioner withdraws the petition, if the petitioner or beneficiary dies, upon legal termination of the marriage upon which the petition was based, upon the marriage of a second preference unmarried son or daughter, or upon the termination of status of a lawful permanent resident petitioner (unless he or she becomes a U.S. citizen). There are other provisions for revocation which allow for automatic conversion to a different classification. In the ca se of the death of the petitioner,       USCIS       may choose not to revoke the petition for humanitarian reasons. [NOTE: Opting not to revoke a petition is a matter strictly within the discretion of       USCIS       . There is no application which can be filed to seek “non-revocation,” and no formal decision issued by     USCIS       (although a letter from an interested party setting forth the facts of the case and a reply from       USCIS       advising that we have or have not exercised our option not to revoke would not be inappropriate), and no right of appeal from a conclusion not to exercise our option.]

Buena suerte.

Family-Based Petitions.

There is not need to be rude. Maybe if she is posting in spanish it is for a reason.

When you said just english you are using a languaje as excuse to exclude. To me it is rude. Terms of serving doesn't say anything about just english or any other languaje. I said to her to use a translator because more people are going to be able to give answers. "just post in english in the main forum" implies to write in your native languaje it is wrong. It is ok to try to get help in any languaje. Compassion goes a long way.

They are correct - non-English posts must be in in the regional forum. It's nothing personal - it is this way to optimize the responses they receive. You can check other threads and see that moderators have enforced this provision.

Moderator here.

English is only to be used in the upper forums. Members can use their native language in the regional forums. This is a rule that is set for the forum to keep it optimized for users.

Nobody was being rude. I read the initial post by @designguy and he even used the word "please" when asking the OP to use English. I fail to see how requesting someone to follow a rule is deemed rude. This site is here to provide information for people who are going through a life changing process. Sometimes information may be not be correct or proper. Sometimes people simply say or do the wrong thing. Everyone must be able to be receptive to being corrected. Being corrected or being told of a mistake does not equate to that person being rude.

Hope this helps.
