I filed for I485 AOS sent them all they asked for to support form I-864 and they are still not satisfied so they denied me. I will appeal but they also charge you a $385.00 fee to appeal. Immigration is nothing but a scam to get more and more money from you. I am very angry that they can do that. Anybody else gone through this also?

I was wondering that too, I-864 is a straight forward document, just attach 1-3 years IRS returns (IRS transcripts are better), a letter from employer, and a few recent pay stubs. If income exceeds 125% poverty line counting self, dependents, and immigrant, then what is there to deny? Edited June 11, 2007 by YuAndDan

I am self employed. I sent them a copy of my Federal and Personal Tax Returns and a copy of my current business license which is what they asked for and they are saying they need more info. I gave them everything they asked for.

P.S. You mean, they send you RFE about one issue only once, if they are not satisfied, they denied you just like this?

So, they sent you an RFE for your I-864 and they were things you already supplied them with? Did you send the stuff in again, with the RFE, or ignore it because you already sent it in? I'm just a little confused by your post.

We are jumping to the gun that is was the I-864 that caused the problem.

We need to hear back from the OP to see what was and was not said

Just because they ask for more evidence, it doesn't mean you are denied. It sounds like you got an RFE. You simply need to send in what they ask for, then they will resume processing of your case.
