Hello! I will be petitioning for my fiance to come to the States.  Question though - he is originally from Latvia, but is currently a resident in the U.K.  He has pre-settlement status (has lived there for under 5 years).  Anyway, we are wondering if he would go to the U.S. embassy in Latvia or in the U.K. for his interview.  Also, the I-129F asks for his name and address in his native alphabet - is it necessary to put these in Latvian even though he is living the United Kingdom?  Thanks for he help in advance!

He can interview in the UK if he is currently living in the UK.

Native alphabet - not necessary if interviewing in the UK.

I think what the name/address in native alphabet questions are worded improperly, because I'm pretty sure they actually want your fiance's name as it actually appears on his birth certificate and the like (i.e. in Cyrillic) and his address as it would actually be written in normal use by people where he lives (which since he lives in the UK, is in the Roman alphabet so you can skip). The form doesn't seem to consider that your fiance(e) could be living in a place that uses a different alphabet than his or her native alphabet.
