Any one from Michigan waiting for EAD for the last 5 + months.?

I was looking at EAD tracker from visa journey and it seems like a lot of people with CIS office as Chicago and getting approved. That's what i see in EAD tracker.

Even though i am aware that each case is different and depends on the officer who handles it,i still see lots of people who are waiting from April,May and June not getting approved.

Not sure how NBC is processing EAD/AP and i am almost certain that it is not based on first come basis.

Please respond here if you are still waiting for more than 5 months or if u have got approved recently. It will give some hope to others who are frustrated.

@srajeevan It is not a true “first come first serve” system.

Someone had a good analogy:  if you are in the supermarket and finish your shopping and you head to a line, and then someone finishes after you, but stands in another line, they could be rung through before you.

I think they do their best to make it as fair as possible, but as the workload is divided, your filing may end up on someone’s desk who is slower at their adjudication procedure, and then factor in human elements like sickness, or vacation, and the processing time is skewed.

It’ll get to be your turn - so stay positive!!
