K1 visa interview prep - Evidence of intent to marry

Hi we have been stressing out if we should book a venue for our wedding before the interview. We are interviewing at the Ghanaian embassy. What are people’s experiences with this? Have people been denied for not having any wedding plan evidence?

It is not advisable to book any non-refundable expenses before having the issued and checked visa in hand.  Too many things can delay your case.....especially in countries where extended administrative processing is common.

The intent of marriage is usually just a signed document by the beneficiary that you will get married. That's it nothing more

Here is an example of a Letter of Intent for the K-1 Visa:
