We are doing Direct filing here in LIMA PERU. I did i130 and my petition got approved, and both I and my wife got letters sent to us. My wife recieved a letter with instructions to go on to usvisa-info.com to schedule an interview, but every time she enters her case number it says "not ready for interview", suggesting emailing the case number to support, I did that several times already, no response.

I checked on ceac site and her case is READY. She went ahead and filled out her DCA260 application.

I tried calling main NVC phone number for help, and they sent me to consul in PERU. I keep calling Lima consulate and nobody is picking up, when they do pick up they direct me to email, I've emailed several times and nothing..

What to do? Feeling super frustrated..

Usually when you directly file with the consulate, the NVC is bypassed completely and you are required to complete processing directly at the consulate. While I can’t speak specifically for Peru, You should get “Packet 3” in the mail as the beneficiary, which you need to collect certain documents and submit them to the consulate directly.

It really all depends on when you filed, when you got approved, the workload of the specific consulate. If you don’t know your case number and haven’t gotten any communication from the consulate, I’d send them a polite email with your name, birthdate, and other personal information requesting your case number and packet 3.

you should fill out your timeline too, that makes it easier for others to help you here.

Once all Requested documents are collected and sent to the consulate and reviewed, you can then file for an appointment.
