Hey, all my documents accepted today but still I received this email and message from NVC, that my husband doesn’t meet the minimum requirement of poverty guideline. What should I do can anyone pls suggest? Do we need to wait for IL? Or we need to upload joint sponsor as soon as possible. We don’t have any joint sponsor right now, we have to find and then collect all his documents first then we’ll upload everything which will take a lot of time. So just to avoid delay, i was thinking to bring it along with me, to the interview? Am I still going to receive IL? Or do I need to upload it first. If anyone been there, and got through this situation pls guide me!! People  literally freaking me out, telling about the AP and stuff. Pls help!!

Doesn’t it states that they’ll make a decision during an interview? And I’ve seen people with the same email getting IL after this email?

There are some cases where they still have the interview even though the joint sponsor was not submitted ahead of time.  You may be asked to submit it on CEAC during the interview it would then delay the case.  They don't always take documents at the interview and could be given 221g to submit them.  You will not get a visa if they feel you are not financially supported but the decision is on the officer.

The email you received now where said that you are documentary qualified. They need the sponsor first coz you didn't meet the poverty lines.once u submit joint sponsor files and they accept than u will get il

As Ahmed&Fareeds said there have been instances where people have been called to an interview even with same kind of rejection. If CEAC says DQ than it is DQ'ed and they must be asking embassy for an interview that will take two months.

You need to put the co sponsor asap on CEAC. Co sponsor documents are also complicated with all tax details. Embassy needs time to review them, so if you take them directly to interview there are very high high chances of 221g

I know, but the thing is; we need to find a co sponsor, gather all his stuff! This will take time because it’s not very easy to find a joint sponsor for us. So just to avoid further delay I was thinking to bring it to the interview instead!

I understand your point but then you also need to be prepared for a 221g if you take the co sponsor documents at time of your interview. Not trying to make you feel bad but this is how the process is

Until you are income qualified you will go no further

NVC will not schedule an interview if they deem you not qualified

others may fit the income requirements for NVC but at embassy asked for cosponsor as there are other things that determine more income is needed (totalality of circumstances)

i do know this as i was held up in NVC for quite a few months because most of my income is not taxable (it is from an annunity that taxes were paid on when it was purchased) so not on line 37 of taxable income

i had to have a lawyer to make them see i live on well over the poverty limit and taxes don't reflect it

after this was done,  the interview was scheduled

Wait until the interview to get the Joint sponsor will not speed your case.

This message is just telling you that you don't have the thing they wanted so you need to be prepared to show them.

Going to the interview without all the documents that support you financially will probably put you in Administrative process.

Did you and your husband checked the income that was necessary for the Visa before?

Update:

What happened with your Joint sponsor that you mentioned 2 months ago?:

Sal11

Hey,

my case is filed under f2a.

I’m on NVC stage atm while my husband’s greencard about to expire. Could this affect my case in any way? Can I take his expired status to my interview? Also, my brother in law who’s going to be my joint sponsor has an expired greencard, can he still become a joint sponsor? I’m worried about my husband’s status. What should we do? Please help a girl!!

Thank you
