Hi everybody,

Applied for AOS off k1. Had green card interview on Friday 6th December and was approved but I already had flights to Australia for Christmas as I had my AP.

Green card didn't get delivered before I left USA and am now wondering if I can still re-enter the US with the AP rather than green card.

I forgot to mention I was traveling to the USCIS officer on the 12th December for his advice...

Thanks. GC is in Salt lake City and I can get my wife to mail it to me as I don't leave Aus until 12 January

Getting the GC sent to you would seem the easiest option.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Get it mailed, you should not have left without it.

CBP can see when your CG was approved and that you left before getting it. They could let you in with just the AP without issue or give you a real hard time. (AP is void when the GC is approved)

Save the headache and have your wife send you the CG.

Thanks, I'm travelling with my US citizen toddler so I think they would be lenient...
