Hi all,

my husband went to interview today everything went well, the officer even told him we have nothing to worry about and that we provided more than enough evidence. BUT the lawyer who worked on Our case forgot to upload my husband's military record online!!!! So because of that we got 221g stating to send and upload. We did that within 2 hours of his interview.

we uploaded on CEAC AND he dropped it off At the courier and they said tomorrow at 10am they will take it.

again his interview was a few hours ago.

his passport is also at the embassy.

i read so many places that admin processing takes 60 days :(((( please, does anyone have an idea how long this type of issue will take? Again, the officer said he has nothing to worry about and just to upload the requested docs.

many thanks!!

Timeline

Every application goes through AP.  Could be a couple days, or weeks, some people wait months or longer.

Usually, keeping the passport is a good sign that they expect the AP to be relatively quick.

Once they receive the missing documents physically, give them a week, and then send a follow up email.  For me, a simple (but polite) email inquiring about the status lead to it being changed that day, and me having my visa a week later.

Everybody goes through AP. And the 221g is the standard refusal if the case is not complete (in your case the military record was missing).

Also, there is no timeline for AP. The 60 days is just an estimate it is not a given. And AP can last a week or it can last a year. Nobody can ever predict how long it will take.

We were in the same situation on December 4. The interview of my husband and stepson went well, but they got 221g for a missing Police Certificate. It was retrieved and submitted the same day (via Embassy website). We received a call from the Embassy on December 13th, they confirmed the receipt and promised to give our case a "priority". Since then no news, the status is still AP.

Thanks so much for the reply. If you don’t mind me asking - which Embassy did he go to? Ours is in Armenia.

also, we uploaded on CEAC, is that what you mean by embassy website? And we took the original to courier which will be taken to embassy tomorrow morning.

Embassy in Paris, France. We uploaded on the Embassy website, the link was listed on 221g.

We mailed the original also by Chronopost, arrived to the Embassy last Friday.

i uploaded my docs but for some reason it is not letting me submit it. Does the embassy have to enable the button?

so now on CEAC it just shows uploaded - when i try uploading it doesnt let :(
