How long does it take to be able to work under a K-1 Visa?

I've been looking for this question...and I apologize because I know it's been discussed before, but I can't find it...

My fiance was just curious as to how long it takes for the foreign fiance to be able to get a job once the K-1 visa has been approved..and say they've entered the United States?

If entering through JFK you may get a temp EAD stamp, and then be able to work almost immediately, K-1 is a work authorized visa, and allows work at least until the I-94 expires 90 days after entry, after that you will need an EAD or green-card to work

It's a very valid question...my fiance is going to come through JFK ...and hopefully get a stamp.

I didnt come here by the JFK airport and i didnt get any stamp, but at the SSN office they said i was able to work... I didnt even try because i didnt want to get in trouble, so i applied for my EAD

I applied in the end of march and just yesterday i got approved, (june 10th)
