I129F form "beneficiary address" formatting?

Hello there,

I am completely new to this community but so thankful it exists. My fiance and I are in the process of filing the K1 visa and running into small little hurdles with the paperwork (possibly overthinking it?).

My fiance is the beneficiary and resides in Mexico. Both his physical address and his mailing address are exactly the same. However, the address formatting here VS Mexico is different. I am having trouble knowing how to format this, it clearly says on the form "Street Number and Name " but Mexico formats theirs with "Street name, number, neighborhood" etc. If I should rearrange this, I am concerned about him receiving anything mailed to him.. also I have the same address concern with listing his employment history.

Any guidance is greatly appreciated, thank you!

Put it exactly as they do it in Mexico without over thinking it.

I come from Palestine, a country that does not have a great address system, and my house technically did not have an "official" address, so  I just winged it with what I could pull out of my butt to put in the forms (without lying ofc), and it went fine.

Welcome to the forum.

You have two possible remedies, you can use Part 8, Additional Information, Form I-129F, putting in the information exactly as desired. The other way is to attach an additional sheet to the application, Insert the information exactly as desired, referencing the specific question in the application. Be sure follow the Form I-129F instructions about dating and signing of the additional sheet.

Good luck on your immigration journey.

Thank you both for the response. Is it "incorrect" or wrong to put in the format used in Mexico? (Street name, Street number, Neighborhood) So long as it all fits?

Example instead of : "123 Hudson Street"

Using "Street Hudson 123" ?

In this instance do you feel the address will still be accepted? The latter is how something would be mailed to Mexico.

Thanks everyone!

The addresses on the petition are for background checks, and the most recent physical address determines which embassy/consulate they send the approved petition to. So it should be as close to what you'd put on an envelope to send mail to him in Mexico as you can manage.

Check in the regional forum for Mexico, but most embassies/consulates don't send any physical mail to K-1 beneficiaries until they ship the beneficiary's passport back (with visa in it and along with the sealed envelope) and the beneficiary will provide their address for that later.

Use part 8 and list just they way you would in Mexico. Your trying to overthink this process.

Thanks for the replies. I know I am overthinking but. it's just means everything to me that I do this right, it's a big deal because I want us to finally be together. I don't want to be the reason that doesn't happen because I messed up on some form.

I ended up putting all the information exactly how I would mail a letter to him.. to ensure that anything sent to him will be properly received. This also matches with his ID.

Thanks again for the help!

There is very little that you can "screw up" that USCIS will not catch and send you a RFE for corrections. Out and out lying will get you in trouble. Most of what you submit to USCIS or the Embassy they have seen it more then a million times. You are not the first to ask this question or the first to get it wrong if you do get it wrong. So stop worry, use common sense and check and double check be fore you submit/present.
