Hi all

Is anyone else in my position and booking an interview with the London Embassy this week?

It says there are no available interviews currently and I’m not sure if that’s due to the new year coming up, whether it’s because they only processed my package from NVC on Friday or whether I should call them because the website isn’t working.

Anyone else able to see the upcoming availability?

Thanks!

I just checked and managed to book mine for dates in January, might have been processing time. Did you try again today?

They had availability every day from Monday 6th January to Friday 17th January showing. I chose Friday 10th and the time options were 9.30am, 10.30am and 11.30am! :)

Thanks! Hopefully availability stays open for us to make our interview soon!

I hope so too.

Don’t forget to do the tracking hack once you know the parcel has left the NVC, I logged on to the online booking system right away once I saw the package was delivered in London. I still haven’t had any correspondence from the embassy directly!

The availability looked good from what I remember. Plenty of dates in Janurary.

You book your own interview when dealing with London. The link to their booking site is on the London embassy website and I was able to register and view the available dates 2 days after my package arrived in London. My interview and medical were booked long before I even had a letter from London confirming they had received my paperwork.

Hi there, how did you manage to find out when they received your package before you received the letter? Is there a website for this? Thank you

same question

- Letter of interview appointment (do we get this once my fiance chooses his interview date?)

- Letter of interview appointment (do we get this e my fiance chooses his interview date?) also,  it from this site https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/family-immigration/nonimmigrant-visa-for-a-fiance-k-1.html it says,

Applicants who fall into any category listed in italics below should bring these additional documents:

For family-based visa applications:

  • The appropriate Form I-864 Affidavit of Support for each financial sponsor along with a photocopy of the sponsor’s IRS transcript or most recent U.S. federal income tax return, and any relevant W-2s. -what is this? i thought it was I-134? K-1 fiance visa is family based marriage right?

  • Proof of your U.S. petitioner’s status and domicile in the United States (photocopy of a U.S. passport, naturalization certificate, or lawful permanent resident card).

  • Evidence of the relationship between the petitioner and visa applicant (such as photographs, letters, or emails). - Do they want us to update the document we created for the petition or create a brand new one?

Saying this again. You do not get a letter with your interview appointment if you are a K1 fiancé.

You do not need any of the above bullet points for your K1 interview in London. No proof of domicile. Zero proof of relationship. ZERO. NOTHING.  I-134 is the fiancé Affidavit of Support.

Hi, thanks for the responses and links. The medical appointment list/URL that was provided here has the below, so I figured we would get/need it. I guess that doesnt apply for K-1. http://www.visamedicals.co.uk/us.htm

Appointment letter from the United States Embassy

I was reading off this website https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/family-immigration/nonimmigrant-visa-for-a-fiance-k-1.html#5 It says non immigration k-1 fiance visa, and that they want evidence of relationship. I thought we needed continual proof of relationship but again I've seen that on so many different sites/threads we do and dont need it, saying bring pictures to the interview/etc. I find it strange they wouldnt want continual proof of relationship.

Yes, I started filling out the I-134 as I know we need that.

Read what your embassy LONDON  tells you to bring. https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/fiancee-2/required-documents/

https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Supplements/Supplements_by_Post/LND-London.html#pre_interview_checklist

This website also has London specific information but a little different than the one you provided - we dont need the DS-260 because that is for the immigrant visa? I was going off the two sites above. This site says for immigrant visa... I am still confused if fiance is non immigrant or immigrant - (it says fiance on that site too for immigration visa)

Read this post and read the links thoroughly. https://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/727499-medical-and-interview-time/?do=findComment&comment=9981191 Thanks.

There are so many threads and so many pages I didnt want to create brand new boards when the topics have already been posted but I guess I will.

Moving forward my fiance and I will only use: https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/fiancee-2/required-documents/
