Is it possible to expedite IV application for parent after receiving DQ email?

I just received the documentarily qualified email 3 days ago and now waiting for the interview email. I was wondering if it's possible to expedite the case for an interview at this point? I know I'm not required to be present with my parent at the time of the interview, but I'd rather do so since the embassy is pretty far and in a different state. I'm flying back in a little over 5 weeks, and I'm afraid the interview date will fall after I'm gone. Are all cases eligible to be expedited?

You have to have a valid reason. "Wanting to interview while you're there" is not a valid reason.

Simple answer is no.

 

USCIS has guidelines on what reasons a person must show for expedite. Here is the policy manual: https://www.uscis.gov/policy-manual/volume-1-part-a-chapter-5

 

Not only do you have to have a good reason, but you must also provide evidence of that reason.
