Hi All,

It's been 161 days since USCIS received the AOS application.USCIS received the application on July 11th.

143 days since bio metrics.

I know that there are lot of people who have waited more than that and a lot more who got their EAD approved early.

It is frustrating but lets hope that EAD will be approved soon.

Spouse of LPR.

Was on F1 when filed AOS,but now changed to H-1B

Yes i am working using H-1B.It would have been much easier for me to switch job if i had the AOS EAD.

i know that a lot of people are waiting to get AOS EAD to get into a job.

I know that NBC wait time is 5 - 7 months as of now and i am in my 5th month so i was hoping that EAD will be processed soon.

Not yet. It's been 207 days since the date of receipt.

But i received RFE for i-485 last week. Not sure whether it will have some impact on EAD even though both are processed at two diff location.

Yes, it will. See the AILA notes from a call with USCIS: https://www.aila.org/File/DownloadEmbeddedFile/75234

Q: Does this take into account numbers where the I-765 adjudication is temporarily suspended, due to, for example, a Request for Evidence (RFE)?
A: Yes. We are waiting for responses on 19,000 I-765 applications that were RFE’d. Also, if an applicant fails to submit a complete I-485 application, USCIS will not adjudicate the associated applications (such as an I-765 or I-131) until applicants submit all requested documentation. As of the end of January 2018, USCIS is currently waiting for evidence to be submitted in 14,000 pending I-485 cases. USCIS will not process the I-765 applications until the requested evidence is received. Additionally, USCIS has a 90-day processing goal for EADs once the I-765 packet is received. However, if there is an RFE, USCIS will reset the clock back to day one once the requested information/documentation is received. The message to applicants is to please submit complete filing packages.

Bold is my emphasis.

Red is noted as the official stance. However, in practice I have not seen that happen - generally it resumes where it left off instead of resetting back to day 1.

The "reset" is only for being out of normal processing timeline purposes. Basically, if you get an RFE, they won't consider it out of normal processing times until at least 90 days after the RFE response is received.

been 175 days for me as well. I also received an RFE for my i-864 as i did not attach my employment verification and attached only my wife's. But that was back in Oct 2019 and there still hasn't been any progress. I filed a service request for my i-765 and i-485 on Jan 11th and still no response, so will check back again on Feb 11th and hopefully the Tier 2 officer will have some answers.
