Touched on a Sunday.. Why.

Hi all,

I don't know why my application was touched on a Sunday.... That is yesterday 10th of June; i have never called USCIS for the Past 2 months. It was touched for the first time since 23rd April, on the 8th which is Friday and again Touched this Sunday; Both times it was the I-129f that was touched.

Any thoughts.

Applying for K-3 Visa.

I-130 Petition

18th January 2007, Married.

8th March 2007, Sent I-130 USPS Mail.

12th March 2007, I-130 Recieved by NSC, Signed for by F HEINAUER.

20th March 2007, $190.00 Check Cashed by USCIS, Back of check indicates file is with California Service Center.

23rd March 2007, Recieved I-797 NOA1 for I-130 (Had a spelling mistake in Benificiary Last Name).

26th March 2007, Called USCIS about mispelling on I-797; they made a note, gave me a "T" Number, said submit I-129F with current I-797.

19th April 2007, "touched".

20th April 2007, "touched".

13th June 2007, "touched". (Due to Phone Call Enquiry)

14th June 2007, "touched".

12th July 2007, "touched", (Due to Phone Call Enquiry)

15th August, 2007, Approved.

I-129F Petition

28th March 2007, Sent I-129F USPS Mail.

30th March 2007, I-129F Recieved by USCIS Chicago, Signed for by S SANDOVAL.

4th April 2007, $170.00 Check Cashed by USCIS.

4th April 2007, NOA1 Notice Date.

6th April 2007, NOA1 Recieved.

10th April 2007, "touched".

19th April 2007, Recieved Email, my Petition transfered to the California Service Center.

23th April 2007, "touched".

8th June 2007, "touched".

10th June 2007, "touched". (This is a Sunday???)

11th June 2007, "touched".

12th July 2007, "touched", (Due to Phone Call Enquiry)

15th August 2007, Approved.

6th September 2007, NVC sends to Chennai Consulate.

2nd of November 2007, Interview at Chennai Consulate.

9th of December 2007, Entry in to USA... Home in Dayton, Ohio.

Ours was too, can be that records were being backed up, and caused files to be opened, and closed, and this is recorded as a case touch.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

Quick Update.......

My application I-129f was touched again today. So this is 3 touches in the last 4 days and one was on a sunday........

Applying for K-3 Visa.

I-130 Petition

18th January 2007, Married.

8th March 2007, Sent I-130 USPS Mail.

12th March 2007, I-130 Recieved by NSC, Signed for by F HEINAUER.

I just did my morning status check and was surprised to see mine was touched on Sunday too! Glad to see I'm not alone in the mystery. I suppose any touch is a good one!

2007 June 12......NOA1 received !!!

2007 June 22......Petition Approved !!! NOA2 received (by email) Paper NOA2 mailed out

2007 June 24......Touched (again on a Sunday!)

2007 June 26......Case arrived at NVC. Case number assigned. Told to expect snailmail notice in 6-8 weeks

2007 July 06.......Paper NOA2 received in snail-mail from Vermont

2007 July 09.......NVC generated DS-3032 and AOS fee bill

2007 July 11.......Emailed Choice of Agent letter. Received auto-confirmation of email receipt from NVC

Mine was touched on Friday(june 8th) after a long time and touched on Sunday as well. No touches today... hmmmmm don't know whats happening.

Aug 28, 2007 - NVC Received AOS Bill (Automated Voice message)

October 15, 2007 - NVC Received AOS and DS-230 Forms

October 24, 2007 - CASE Complete

November 2, 2007 - Case at Embassy

January 10, 2008 - Interview Date

January 10, 2008 - VISA APPROVED

Maybe, USCIS is working overtime. If we think about it they are going to get loads of petitions right before the price changes next month. They have all of the current petitions that are getting old, they must do something. Let's pray :thumbs: it's overtime so that the current petitions are out of the way in anticipation for a petition rush that is comming.

USCIS probably isn't working on Sunday. It is more than likely contract IT personnel. Anyhow my AOS was "teched" twice Sunday. Both to state that my reply to an RFE from 6 September, 2006 had been received.

(for the record - after a year with nothing - I even got a touch yesterday.)

One of my friend works for IRS and he works a lot on weekends, I guess they get comp time and can use it toward vacation. USCIS is federal service too, right?

May be some body needed some comp time.
