Hi everyone, I know there are more urgent reasons to expedite, but I wanted to know if anyone has had success for getting expedited due to work limitations.

I am working as a resident doctor in the US and its hard to schedule vacation or away time to see my husband overseas, due to our difficult work schedule and patient responsibilities. Also I am unable to accept any permanent contracts for work after graduation at this time due to the uncertainty of his visa being granted , which entails some financial loss.

I went ahead and submitted an expedite on 12/13, I guess no harm if it doesn't get approved but wanted to try my luck.

My NVC documents were submitted on 11/25.  No DQ or CC yet.

You can absolutely apply for an expedite and I have seen some weird ones approved so yours might be as well.

Doubt this will fly.  How is it that you're unable vs choosing not to?  The uncertainty of visas being granted and unpredictability of the timelines is something faced by everyone going through this.

alhamdulilah praise be to God.  expedite request approved on 12/23  !

Email stated: The U.S. Embassy or Consulate is willing to expedite this case when all required fees, forms, and documents have been received and reviewed.

My advice to anyone deciding whether to request expedite, I think it's a worth a shot and nothing to loose :)

Should be a sticky, always expedite.
