The income would be the income that is being used to qualify for sponsorship. So that's $0 here.

 

Your profile shows DCF. DCF is not generally available for Canada. There are exceptional circumstances. Just wanted to make sure you were aware. Since your profile shows Nebraska, I'm assuming you did file domestically (not DCF).

I second the domicile issue. Montreal is notoriously strict. Good luck, but intent would not be the norm to qualify.

We do also have a bank account here that my husband has had since his youth, a PO Box and he has voted in several elections.  We could also show that we have the kids passport paperwork prepared for submission, as well as our intent to homeschool form for the 2020/2021 school year.  

 

So those things plus a lease agreement and a paper trail showing he is seeking out work... what do you think?

i am in the same boat as you about the foreign earned income and the i864 . Did you ever figure it out?

 

What did you end up putting for the “current “ and “total income for the most recent tax year”?

Hi there!  You put $0 for income.  Only US sourced income that will continue after you arrive in the US will be considered.  We had a joint sponsor.
