Police Certificate needed for Pakistan or Not

The two links below say police certificates are not required from Pakistan. Can someone who has been processed through Islamabad recently confirm this? Did you you have to submit a police certificate from Pakistan at NVC or Islamabad embassy?

They are not required. Instead, you will need to be prepared for a lengthy AP time.

Because of, in many respects. Because Pakistan does not have an effective method of maintaining criminal records, the US government has to resort to other methods to ascertain that a visa applicant meets the good character requirements for approval.

Why? Are you saying I’m lying that you don’t need one? Or that the Department of State website is lying that you don’t need one?

Because the records in pakistan are flawed, to say the least, the US does not TRUST the police certificates they are able to obtain. They will do their OWN checks, which will result in a very very very lengthy AP process for you.

 

submit it if you want, but it is not required and will not help expedite the process.

If you want a targeted audience you should post in the regional forum, not the general IR one (especially if you just dismiss answers from people who do actually know what they’re talking about).

Its vary on case yo case , they dont need a pc in pakistan n i was in AP for exact 30 days , so hope for the best

It says they don't need a PCC, but my husband got it anyway. The embassy ending up taking it when he showed them

Not needed. You have the official source saying it's not needed. Not sure what else there is to say. You can bring one if you want, but it won't help or hurt your case.
